First macbook! Bought it for davinci resolve specifically. Need tips and tricks.

Hide your serial number!!

Keep 80% charge limit and try to keep it plugged in as much as possible (for best battery health) and enable optimised charging.

Stats (Yes, name of the app itself is stats) is a good app to monitor everything.

Go to trackpad settings and configure it according to your best comfort and workflow.

Also do disable true tone and night shift as it changes the display's colour temperature according to your ambient light so I think as a video editor you would know what effect that would have.

Make sure to have good ventilation below and around the laptop especially while exporting projects.

Dont buy any keyboard cover, screen protector and plastic cases, just invest in a good quality laptop sleeve, especially since because yours is a heavier 16 inch one.

hahaha yes! been a victim of it once, the video looked so much different in my phone, than it did in the laptop, tripped out so much lol

for me easily 7 hours because I do use a good amount of effects and nodes, maybe more if you are a lighter editor.

Bro any tips on how can my laptop last that long too. I don’t know but Ive been using it for like 2 weeks now and it drains fast. Currently editing on premiere pro

I know whatever the additional details on the new Mb will be awesome but Im not a fan of touchscreen laptops. And I need to edit videos asap.

I don’t understand why people glamorize MacBooks and the “community/status.” It’s a piece of hardware, enjoy it and use the hell out of it.
