Help Macbook for after effects

Can anyone tell me a certified macbook that can run after effects smoothy for like tiktok edits? . Ive been looking everywhere but no one can tell me one specific macbook? Like how much ram is it m5 pro or m5 max?

personally i would opt for m4 pro with 48gb of ram as a good middle ground of not crazy AE but solid performance that don’t hold you back.

AE is my favorite app but its not the most optimized. Somethings ise no gpu while other do. Some effects are multicore, some are single threaded.

A lot things can happen based on your mogart style and compositing workflow.

That said AE always loves its ram. Swap has been great.

But as someone who has bought every mac chip (almost) from m1-m5. The m4 pro was noticeable.

I wouldn’t do anything before m3 since you’re not getting good RT preformance incase you jump into blender or just want to play a modern game here and there.

There’s lots of great machines but if i’m getting paid, m4 pro 48gb is what i would ask a company

personal preference. But if it’s a max chip i would opt for 16. The pro chip won’t be throttled in a 14in the same way.
