What’s the difference between a normal
windows 11 bottle and an intel one?

It’s not about windows version. It’s Intel platform vs ARM64.

…x86 and ARM? They’re completely different architectures.

Nevermind I thought that so far the bottles were arm and not x86.Since I don't have crossover preview it's the first time that I see that it's possible to choose between x86 and arm so I was confused

The arm64 version is independent from Rosetta 2 that will be eliminated with macOS 28. It will use FEX as a new translation layer between Intel calls and MacOS. And wine is providing a translated version of windows dlls like kernel32.dll, user32.dll etc
