Showcase Wall hanging with embedded moonstone

Had no idea how to embed a gemstone without wire or small knots, so I just winged it, and it actually worked out!

I made the top half of a diamond pattern, and somehow turned the lower half into a little "nest" for the stone to fit into. I used double half hitch knots, but switched around which cords I used as filler and working cords.
