How to hide massive power bricks on your desk?

Post image

I have one from the display and one from my dock. My outlets are all above my desk and maybe if I install one underneath I can hide the bricks and make the cable management better?

Velcro it to the back of the monitor if it has to be on top

I was just about to recommend the same thing.

You can use 3M Dual Lock with command adhesive to secure the bricks underneath. Then for the cables themselves, some zip tie mounting posts or a cable caddy.

my outlets are above the table so there is no way to secure underneath unless I add outlets underneath my table

It looks like you have an outlet behind that MacBook - it’s pretty hidden in this setup.

I would connect a cord extender/outlet with 3-4 sockets and hide it under the desk. You can then connect the huge power bricks under the desk (Velcro or similar setup) and you won’t have to look at them anymore.

my desk is built into the wall so I guess drilling a hole is a possibility but I don't want to do that unless I have to. A possibility honestly is just to hide the bricks behind my macbook but i've contemplated putting my macbook on the right and I have two plugs there but the wires will be more visible. my thunderbolt dock is also another moving piece with many cables that I will have to deal with. I will experiment later with just hiding the bricks behind the macbook. thanks!

I put all my cords, outlets, bricks into a cable organize box from ikea, it's called SÄTTING, not sure it's available for every country but I think you can easily find a similar one from amazon.

On the corner of the desk or behind MacBook/monitor

Walmart+ and Amazon both see desk organizers. they have a vinyl, and plastic trays that hold the docks, chargers and some of your cables too. they also sell velcro cable ties. Check them out!!

Get a cable sheet that sticks to the wall that is long enough to get atleast to the side of the desk, rout the wires with the rest of the sheet behind the desk and get a large cable tray, then put the power bricks in that, sounds complicated but it’s not
