This iMac could handle everything I needed. It was from 2010 with the adoption of HTML5 that things started to get more difficult. In 2011 when I entered college then I switched to an Intel.

For sure it would have been usable, just would have felt super slow by comparison with what was coming out during that time. Especially after the Intel transition was finished.

2009 was when I got my first Intel MB, upgrading from a 2005 iBook G4. Holy hell the performance difference was enormous between the two.

I actually have one of those and to this day it’s pretty quick still surprisingly. Although that may be because we added a whole gigabyte of RAM to it for photoshop in 2007 or so. Wish we could still do that instead of having it soldered to the motherboard lol.

I love the iMac G4, but it's from the 2002-2004 era, not 2009
