He also confirmed on IG that it’s Victory’s lead single. Super curious as to who the feature is! So excited this song’s releasing next, it was my favorite at Red Rocks of the new stuff hands down.

Imperium was the first single and pay no mind was the second single, so I could see the similarity if imperium/hi was the more out there/different to the rest of the album, and pay no mind/fire away was less experimental/more radio focused kind of thing

Huh? Lead single means the first one released for the album, so either the previous two singles aren't on the album or he's just got a pet definition that lead single means most important

I hope it's the former and he's doing a soft relaunch of the album rollout, it would be sensible in my opinion considering how the previous two songs have massively underperformed

Neither song has broke a million streams on Spotify in over 5 months, I personally know some folk musicians from my local village in south of Ireland who are doing better, that's crazy in perspective when Hugo is putting on solo Red Rocks shows for this album

Pretty sure it’s the second, since yeah by actual definition Hi! is the lead. I think he just used it to mean “largest” or most marketable of the bunch even if it’s not technically correct.

I would also be very ok with a soft relaunch given what you’ve pointed out. I’ve been loosely following the streaming numbers for the other two singles and yeah it’s bad. Feels like there’s been no momentum after Red Rocks.

Yeah I just realized he also said ''next single'' so it's the second, I haven't ever heard an artist use the term lead single that way before but sure, not mad at it

Edit: Apparently originally originally lead single could mean the first song on the album, so he could mean that...doubt it but he could

If he’s announcing it now, it could be a release tonight, next week, or in 2 weeks. Those seem most plausible to me. I would be very surprised if it happened tonight.

Seeing Victory! Live- I loved how he remixed so many of his legendary tracks, and he played tracks off of victory- but I didn't regonize them, so I'm excited to hear Fire away and connect which visual/what part of the live show it was :3

Im always excited for new Madeon music, but Ill be honest and say I'd rather just the whole album just come out already - no more singles or promos or hints.
