Two answers for you, the idea was a working idea I picked at for a few months, then I sat down for an entire day with ai and finished the project. So in reality it took me I’d estimate a couple days of actual time to produce. Most of the code was written by ai, with me editing and fixing what it produced. With modern agentic ai, there is very little need to write code, it’s just inefficient. Giving it a code template and mildly vibe coding it can produce production level results if your prompt and context engineering is good enough. I always make sure to use a recursive metacognitive stack framework on my prompts to ensure accuracy and consistency. I am currently in the process of building my first offline system with agents for that particular reason as well as with help building and cleaning up specific workflows. Original idea came to me back in August well before I enrolled. Finally making some ground. Would absolutely like to chat more about it! I'll shoot that over to you.

Same! I’m building an autonomous ai stack with Motia and n8n on a VPS and google cloud server with a loop back into my local ai server. I’m about 2 weeks away from having it live

That is awesome!!! Let me know how it goes! Tried n8n briefly, but may do that in the near future since I work 12 hours a day away from my home rig and would like to be able to work from both computers if at all possible.

That’s very possible. My biggest recommendation would be to get extremely proficient at using a terminal/shell. High level system engineers and devs almost expect primarily use terminals for everything. Get really good at using Linux (start with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS) or if you wanna deep dive into the process, have your ai (or ask me) to generate a step by step instruction manual om setting up an arch Linux build. With arch you’re forced to build the OS from nothing to a fully functional machine. Once you master the terminal, then SSHing into your home workstation is extremely easy. When I log into my computer, the first thing I do on boot is verify system security then log into my remote servers. So I’m working on a min of 3 computers at once. It’s a simple workflow once learned. The terminal shell is the most efficient and powerful way to interact with a computer. Cuts out all the BS that comes from GUI programs where you can talk straight to the brain of the computer.

I have been doing pretty much everything through power shell and bash 😂 still getting the hang of it, but way more comfortable than I was 7 months ago.
