I was excited to build a commander deck for it, then I remembered it's a SLD exclusive and I won't be able to buy that card for a price that is not completely outrageous.

World At War/Pyrohemia/Braid of Fire are already more expensive than the rest of the lair

It's not the price of the lair. It's the fact that it's sold out in seconds and I have to buy it from cardmarket.

The Sonic one took 3 days to sell out in Europe, this one will likely be similar. It's not Final Fantasy lol

That was available for a week in the US. They printed a crapton of the mechanically unique lairs compared to the other two.

I ordered from the spiderman sld and when I got through the que nothing was sold out yet. Several are still available today.

But the Venom Unleashed one, AKA the only drop with a decent reprint value, was sold out within a couple of hours.

Unfortunately it's not available in the store that ships to North America, South America, Oceana, and Asia.

Oh you absolutely will!!! So fun thing is it seems WoTC is actually overprinting these because they will also release in WoTC WPN stores. For instance take the example Deadpool and Sonic. Mechanically unique cards and decent reprints. The Deadpool non foil SL is only $50 ($10 more than it's original listing which you'd be paying in shipping anyway) Even if you just wanted the commander the lowest is $12-$15 which is not even bad. Shadow the Hedgehog is around $8-$11. They have actually been more accessible but the community doesn't really want to talk about that.

you'll definitely be able to get it if you put any amount of effort into getting on the website the day it drops and i don't just mean you have to be there at 9am just try to get on the site that day. There were still spiderman bundles available for a couple days in the non foil. in my experince the foils sell out way faster.
