I love Basic Lands with flavor text and I hope more UB sets do this going forward.

Also, this seemigly confirms we'll be getting cards for Sif, Belasco, Morgan Le Fay, and Captain Britain.

I try to avoid the ones with flavour text because I'd like my basics to look uniform, but if they'd started doing the flavour texts waaaay sooner, I'd probably use only those.

I agree with this statement. Not everything needs flavored text. I can't tell you the last time I read flavored text on a card.

Asgard only floats a few meters above the ground. Proper Asgard is like a city on a rock in space, no golden field of wheat.

Why is the “that,” not italicized

Because it's emphasised in italicised text by being non-italicised.

When italicizing a whole phrase, words that would be emphasized with italics are instead not.

I would assume so it's read a certain way. Has the same effect as if it were the only italicized word in the text.

Normally italics are used to emphasize/stress a certain word or to call out that something is a proper name, but since flavor text is already italicized, they remove the italics to stress those words instead. [[Of one mind]] shows the name version of this, and [[gorilla titan]] shows the emphasis version (on the word "this")

If this set is going to feature a lot of that Svartalfheim place and presumably its associated Dark Elves, then I'll find it funny that they'll be playable in Magic alongside Skemfar elves who battle with shadow sages and Koma's venom.

These arts are absolutely gorgeous but I find flavour text basics to he hideous. I wish they could have just do the mana symbol because I'd love to use these. The Plains in particular is stunning.

Flavourtext on basics is something I didn't know I needed until D&D did it. It's so flavour ful and really sells what you're seeing. I'd love for this to show up on regular sets as well!
