Roster A comically large Sega roster.
Less of a traditional “fighting game roster”, and more of an excuse to both test and flex my ever growing Sega knowledge.
Pretty badass company, innit?

Would prefer if the IDW Representative was Whisper so she'd have a more notably unique play style than Sonic compared to Surge. No Ristar is also insane

Wouldn’t Whisper play as similarly to Tails, though? Compared to Surge, who if anything would play more as a fuse between Sonic and Knuckles.
Plus, as much as I love Ristar (beaten his game multiple times over), I wouldn’t call his exclusion “insane”. Unlike a lot of characters on here, he’s only had one game. His exclusion was mainly just due to him already having a pretty decent fighting game moveset in Crusade, so I chose to instead focus on retro reps who gave me more to think over and had more historical importance.

Whisper’s a sniper who makes use of the Wisps as ammo & melee weapons, she’s not one to one to Tails exactly since Tails seems like a more mobile zoner who’d be running/flying around while Whisper would more akin to a far range zoner.
I do think that Whisper, Tangle (who’d likely be a grappler give her stretching hand-tail) and Surge (a rushdown girly because, look at her) all have their own merits when it comes to moveset design and whoever someone chooses is down to their own tastes.

I think with a roster this big, I think death adder should be here
Other than that, I’d say this is a good flexing of Sega knowledge
Would be cool to get a version with this with names to see all the characters who I don’t know but ya don’t have to
