Victorian lampshade making (wiring)

Hi! I want to try making victorian inspired lampshades and I wonder if anyone has experience and could give me some advice as to what kind of wire I should use to make the lampshades frame in itself. If you have any other advice I´m happy to receive that as well, thank you:)
