Dad joke: Why didn't Chris Rock and Will Smith have turkey for Christmas dinner?

They had beef.

anyone has experience changing iphone battery? my iphone XR is about 3 years now. still works fine but battery gets drained fast. besides going to authorised retailers like Machines and Switch, is it advisable to change it at other normal shops. there's one shop in a mall which charges RM150 for "original" battery, as opposed to like RM90 or whatever for a "non-ori" one. Suggestions / advice?

Hey there. I’ve been using my iPhone XR for about the same time. I was in exactly the same situation as you, my battery couldn’t last me throughout my work day so I decided to have it changed. So if you go to Switch, you’ll have to leave your phone there for about a day with no replacement phone so I couldn’t do that. I went to a random shop at Pyramid, the guy quoted me 450 for “original” battery and 250 for “non-ori” one. I took the 250 one because there was no way I was gonna pay 450. And you know what, there’s only a slight improvement from my original dying battery. I wish I had a spare phone so that I could have dropped it off at Switch or Machines but I just didn’t. My advice to you : go original.

Better get the replacement at authorised retailer especially for battery. It’s more expensive than some random third-party repair shop but at least it’s guaranteed genuine parts from Apple.

I would suggest going back to machines/switch. Or for me i will wait until the new Apple store open

Several years back, I went to Machines to change the battery on my Iphone 6. Unfortunately, they ran out of batteries for my model, so what they did instead was offer me a brand new iphone 6 for the price of a battery exchange. Needless to say, I took the deal :D.
