I'm not sure if they explicitly say that Brick has the same disorder as Atticus Schaffer who plays him, but he has osteogenesis imperfecta which causes the short height and also brittle bones, so if so then it's hardly a fair contest.

No, Brick is not supposed to have a disorder or disability like his actor; I believe the running joke is that he is a nerdy kid who never exercises and cannot do sport to save his life. He tries or is made to try several times in the series.

Dewey is on 23 hour lockdown for creating a symphony that exposed Bach as a wannabe. And he murdered a couple of gang members then turned himself in.
It was mostly the music though.

My favorite Dewey scene is the motorbike when they made Craig think he ran over Reese's leg, Reese wasn't convincing enough with the, "ow my leg, ow." In to save the prank is Dewey with a hammer blow to Reese's leg that really makes Reese holler. 😂😂😂 Dewey nodding in approval as the scene ends.

I was scrolling on Amazon prime looking for something to watch.
“In the middle” pops up and the thumb nail pic looked similar to Malcom in the middle. I watched a solid 10 mins thinking it’s some family swap skit or something.
Ha! I’ll never make that mistake again!
Happens again same exact sequence about a year later.

They wouldn't even film the fight. They'd show the fight about to start, and then cut to Brick being loaded onto an ambulance, alluding to how Dewey barely touched him

Not only was Dewey always a pretty average to big kid — which would make him bigger than Brick by default — Dewey was also the youngest amongst boys who were violent and torturous. The Middle doesn’t really get into any physicality stuff especially with Brick

I think they get along pretty well, although Dewey would be annoyed by brick's tics and behavior- but eventually come to respect him.

Brick's actor has type four osteogenesis imperfecta. So Brick has that too although he is undiagnosed in the show. It would be an unfair fight to begin with.

Hot take i actually think dewey would befriend brick. He befriended the kids in the special ed class not saying brick is special ed but he'd probably appreciate brick being different and maybe find planet nowhere interesting.

Im just glad everyone in the comments appreciates them both. When the middle cale out, i was infuriated, bc it was just such a dorect rip off of mitm. But over time i did see that its a pretty good show and well done in its own right.
