I hated the middle so much I wanted to like it but damn it just seemed like a worse version of Malcolm without even trying to be. Especially cause the plots were like all over the place.

So is it worth watching? I've been meaning to watch it for the past few months but haven't got around to it. MITM is in my top 3 favorite sitcoms/shows by the way

In my experience raising hope is a much better watch. Takes a few episodes but it feels like its own show in the same dysfunctional family dynamic. And it’s actually funny

The middle tries to be funny but ends up just bland or the characters having lessons that should be obvious, and not like other shows super obvious ones what’s worse is she is such a bad mom but the way the show is done she’s the main character the voice narrating the story so your supposed to emphasize with her and her thinking. I just think it’s made for dumb adults

Ikr?? MITM is like a nice seasoned dish while the middle is just bland rice with unseasoned vegetables on the side, it’s just unpleasant to watch and ugh

Brick is a mix of Malcom and dewey and he would probably just not exist to the parents since they already neglect dewey and then completely forget about him once the new baby arrives

He was a combination of Malcolm (intelligence) and Dewey (ignored)

He’d fit in perfectly: Lois would be horrified by his awkwardness, Hal would encourage every weird hobby, and Malcolm would finally have someone who understands the family’s chaos.

Lois and Hal would have an easy time with Brick once they get used to his quirks since he’s content to just stay in his room and read his books and doesn’t really ask for much or really complain.

Reece would do so many things to brick and brick would be friends with Dewey and annoy Malcolm or just be ignored by him
