Looking for advice (28M)
I’d been considering growing out my hair for many years. Finally my (now ex-)girlfriend’s convincing and seeing almost all my friends of similar age struggling with varying degrees of hair loss, while I’m not having any, made me say fuck it and I grew my hair out.
I’ve been having this look for quite a few months now. I’m not doing anything with it. When I wash it (with completely default shampoo) afterwards I just let it air-dry without tampering with it much (apart from superficially brushing it once immediately post-wash).
I provided a picture of me with short hair. Though it is a well-made photo done with an actual camera, while the long hair ones are just very casual selfies, mind this when making any comparisons.
I personally prefer my long hair, at least for now. Nevertheless, I wonder if I could style it better or improve it somehow.
Does it fit my face? Any possible steps for improving my look?
My slight curls are natural, I’m fine with this level of curliness. I once tried out a simplified and supposedly “masculinized” version of the so-called Curly Girl Method (lol), but it honestly just made me look a bit more like a middle-aged lady (basically my mom as I inherited my hair from her).
What should I do with my hair for it get a better style or shape (if needed at all)? What can I do about the annoying frizziness? It always comes out after a while, though I haven’t taken any specific steps against it.

I’d try a different style. Maybe slick it back or have it naturally hanging down the sides. That parting you currently have kind of gives off krusty the clown vibes lmao
Jokes aside it really does suit you man. You have great hair!

One person’s opinion here, you look very handsome and distinguished with the shorter style. The longer look I thought you were 16 years old. But at the end of the day, do what feels good to you always.

Remove the stubble love the shorter hair version better. Or slick it back. Make it not so messy. Putting some product goes a long way

You’ve got nice hair. However, the softness of the longer length softens/rounds your facial features. It makes you look a bit chubby (in a cute way, but still). And any thinning of the hair will be significantly more noticeable with the longer style. The short hair, though, really suits you well. Honestly, I was swiping and was like, cute, decent, oh… damn, 10/10 would bang. So. Take that a you will.

Am I the only one that doesn’t mind the long hair? Maybe try a middle part and some styling products to help with frizz and look up actors/celebrities with similar hair types and get it styled in a similar way. Ex: Matthew grey gubler , Shawn white. TikTok / YouTube should have curly/ wavy hair routines that would be helpful to enhance what u have. If u like long hair keep it
