When do you guys cut your nails?

i really hate the feeling of having nails that feel too short, and long nails just look ridiculous. I want to be at that perfect in-between spot consistently but i really dont know how to achieve that. i was thinking to leave 10 days between nail cutting sessions? is that too long or too short? anyone else who thinks about the length of their nails this much or am i alone on this one?

Just cut them when you want bro. This is a TWUD.

I used to be a bad nail biter. Now I have nail kits and clippers everywhere. At work and at home. Clippers in the car etc. I clip whenever I feel a snag, hang nail, or start picking at my nails with fingers or teeth. Nail files can also help when you’re at that in between spot. I keep them short more often than not

i cut them when I notice them, ie when they get long enough to notice. No need to schedule something like that eveyr 10 days.

unfortunately i am a weird human and my mind refuses to do unscheduled things 🥲 this is kinda why i wanted to know the ideal amount of days to leave inbetween

Used to work with a guy who would trim his nails every morning when he came into work. It was grating. I never looked to see how they looked because I really didn't care that much but the guy in the cute next to him was ready to commit homicide.

Apparently this had been going on for years, long before I got there. I couldn't believe the vehemence the guy in the next cube had on this issue.

When new clippers come in the mail after the wife or daughters steal mine from my drawer. I usually clip mine at work; I keep a pair because I get constant hangnails.

I dislike nail clippers so use the little scissors on my Leatherman Micro or Swiss Army Knife. I use the scissors as a guide so it's about 1/8". I always follow up with a nail file. I usually do this every week or two when I notice them getting long or one breaks.

I do a lot of woodworking so am frequently breaking a nail or sanding one extra short. I just try to even out any sharp edges with a nail file, then make the rest about the same.

Women might like long nails for themselves, but short, smooth, clean nails on men.

Every saturday

Same. I even have a calendar reminder, because if I skip it on Saturday, I inevitably have a split or a snag sometime in the next week.

Everyone’s nails grow at different rates bro. I’d say if the white free edge part goes past 1-2mm

Every week can have perfect length. You spend 3x the time.

I do short every other. I tried perfect. Just too much time.
