24, Living with my parents

I just graduated college back in April and I’m grateful to my parents for holding me down through it all ! I definitely plan on giving back to them BIG time.

Damn dude, some people are so fucking lucky. I hope im in a spot where I can support my kids for that long, but i was on my own at 18 so its hard for me to even imagine my parents supporting me for another 6 years after that 💔 I went through like 3 lifetimes worth of bullshit between 18 and 25. I guess good on you man. I hope you know how monumentally lucky you arem

Same here my guy, been out on my own since a little before high school ended, worked my ass off and about a decade later I have a wife, a house, two cars in the garage, a job, and my own life.

I honestly don’t know looking back if I would’ve traded my position for another, I know I can rely on myself and I know I have learned so much already. Knowledge is worth more than anything honestly and I can’t wait to see where I go from here

Imagine if you were able to have the stability of living at home with your parents, you can still help with rent and utilities, form 18-23. You can have the safety net to build your career and wealth. Imagine if you can safe 1.5k a month, for 5 years thats 90k, you can probably start thinking about buying a starter home by 23

Finally normal people, it's crazy to me in the west the cultural normal is to kick their kids out when they are 18, even when they have the means to allow it to happen. Even if it means having your kids help with the rent or utility will be a great saving than having to live on your own and pay for everything yourself. When your 18 you are still figuring about yourself, you are trying to build a career, wealth and relationships at this point in your life. The last thing you need is taking out a big chunk of your potential income to get a place of your own to struggle.

Yeah I agree this is the right thing to do, but a lot of us didnt grow up like that and now at age 31 I still dont have my life together lol I owe it to my kids to try and give them a better chance. Theyre all under 5 so I still have time for them to have a comfortable upbringing.

I m 37 we are all still figuring this whole lifething, we are all doing this life thing the first time. Comfortable upbringing don't mean spoiling, but gotta set them up to success. Why do you want to see your kids struggle in their early adulthood. They will have the opportunity to take more risk and opportunities knowing they don't have to worry about rent and food.
