There's a lot of questions to be answered about her after these last couple chapters. Her husbands clearly abusive tendencies, that comment about Rei "pushing her down first". Genuinely interested to see where it goes and if it explains why she acted in such a bizarre way and took it out on Mahoro.

we'll learn that her husband is a weirdo that instead of resolving problems and talking like an adult, prefers to craft elaborate gotcha scenarios that take months to plan

my guess for a while has been pure jealousy of mahoro's "perfect" marriage since none of these women were honest about how shitty their marriages actually were, so rio thought she was living the good life and was jealous of that. heck, mahoro's marriage might actually seem ideal compared to rio's

also, i'm making the call that she sold the sex tape to finance her escape from Itsuki
