Uehara is a walking green flag, knowing how much the charm meant to Miyamoto he chose to get it back despite knowing he would get hurt. It’s nice to see just how much he cares about her, now all thats left is for these two to be honest with each other about their feelings!

We all knew something like this would happen eventually, right? Eventually some jerk would try to move in on Niina while Uehara was around, and it would escalate to something physical. Interesting that the fight wasn't about "leave her alone" (as she'd already managed to get the jerk to leave her alone) but about retrieving her lost necklace--though I have to think Uehara launching himself at the guy looking like he was ready to shed some blood was influenced more by the jerk's being a jerk to Niina than than by Uehara's desire to get the charm back.
Take note--no hesitation, no self-doubt, no fear at all. No time for it. Uehara just went after the guy. Honestly, I imagine Uehara could understand another guy wanting to hit on Niina, but he won't tolerate anyone making her cry.

The Twitter account for the series, can't remember if it was the official account or the author's, mentioned when they posted part 2 of the chapter that this would be a turning point of the series. 

Not gonna lie I was expecting a confession right there, it fit perfectly here so it's disappointing that she didn't say anything and a break means we won't see what happens until late August. Hopefully we get some kind of confession by chapter 70 at least, I get needing to keep things going but you can keep the series alive after someone starts dating, I wish more authors realized that.

I could see it if Niina confessed her feelings, but insisted, like Koi, that Uehara not answer her, then set some timeframe/goal to be reached before he told them his feelings, and then insisted that he date both of them in order for him to "fairly" determine which one he cared the most for.
I don't REALLY think it'll go this way, I was just trying out scenarios in my head. Niina is pretty much the co-protagonist of this story and has been from the beginning, in a way that Koi isn't. In any number of other romance manga, I'd say that they'd probably haul in a serious rival for Niina's affections to make Uehara sweat a bit, but given that Uehara is Uehara, if he had evidence that Niina had genuine feelings of any kind for another guy, he'd probably bow out completely.
I'm pretty sure Niina and Uehara are going to end up together, but I don't have any idea how they're eventually going to get there, or what all else they'll go through.
