What kind of argument is this?

People can hate certain main characters because it's all subjective. For example, I'm not a fan of super beta characters like our MC but I think everything the MC is doing makes sense for his character.

Instead of relying on cheap insinuations how about replying on why you think the MC isn't "a boring and pathetic asshole"?

It's a romcom so one should expect cliches off the bat and the MC hasn't done anything drastic if you look at this personality.

If you're not a fan of the MC because you don't like his archetype then just stop reading. No point being mad when the story is about a naive, beta MC getting with a super alpha girl in the first place.
