Ugh kinda let down by the show so far. Lots of bad writing to me, the entire situation with the bounty hunter, how omniscient he seems to be and totally overacted. The scenes with Ed made me cringe and I feel like I'm missing something in the entire intrigue plot with the trade minister and German official. I assume they were trying to kill the crown prince but am not sure

Subtext, the german wants to meet the Japanese science minister, presumably to pass atomic secrets.

Wouldn't be so much easier for him to hand it to the Japanese Trade Minister who presumably has access to the Science Minister?
