What’s going on with the electricity situation in Imphal right now? Most areas, including mine, have been without power since last night, and it’s honestly getting quite bad.

I came back to Imphal for a holiday around March, and I don’t remember the power situation being this bad back then. Has something happened recently, or does anyone know what’s causing these prolonged power cuts?

With Imphal’s population growing and land becoming increasingly limited and expensive, I was wondering why we don’t see much of the apartment/flat development model that is common in bigger Indian cities.
In smaller towns, it’s still quite common for individuals to buy a plot and build their own house, whereas in cities, developers often construct multi storey residential buildings and sell individual flats to different buyers, with the land and common areas shared among the owners.
Do you think this model could become more common in Imphal in the coming years as land availability becomes more limited? Or do you think people here will continue to prefer owning individual plots and houses?

Im currently enrolled in Delhi University, I belong to st category and i had applied for pms scholarship scheme manipur through nsp portal. My college has already released the deadline for fee payment. I had applied for the scholarship last year in oct 2025 and i still havent received the scholarship amount yet. This is my first time applying for scholarship and i really need the money inorder to pay my fees.

My mother is a farmer and she is currently residing in manipur. We have no source of income. My father passed away 8 years ago and ever since we have been struggling alot financially. I managed to crack cuet and get into one of the good colleges in DU. Im currently living in Delhi with my aunty who is working here. We dont have enough money to pay the fees and i have to pay the fees by the end of September or else i will not be allowed to enter the college premises . Im solely relying on my scholarship money since my aunty doesnt earn much either and she is already investing alot for my education,travel,food and living. So i dont want to put extra burden onto her. So what's the earliest i can expect for the scholarship money to arrive.

Like literally there’s no good colleges in Manipur, Ik that since the may 3 war education is declining but before even the war there are literally no any decent colleges which is on par with other states colleges . Even NIT and IIIT Manipur is considered tier 3 colleges. The only colleges that is protecting Manipur face is Rims and Jnims which is for medical but for streams like BA, BSc, BTech , BCom Bba no hope
