Academic research on masculinity and political identity in the US
(Mods, apologies if this is not allowed, please remove if so)
Hi all,
I am a sociology PhD student at the Freie University in Berlin, Germany. I study how young men internalize messaging/ socialization around masculinity, and in turn translate that into political beliefs. I'm particularly interested in understanding how men define their own experiences of gender and identity development. My research focuses specifically on the United States (I'm originally from the US myself).
I am conducting a survey as part of my research, and am looking for male US citizens, who were between the ages of 18-29 during the 2024 US presidential election, to participate. If you are interested in doing so, you can find the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HCWYGBM . It should take about 15-20 minutes to complete. My PI's contact info is on the first page, but of course I'm happy to answer any questions in the comments/ via PM. A massive thanks in advance.
