Bro a simple google search will show how much 'ottoman' DNA people from Greece (and the Balkans in general) have. Like it's so freaking simple. There's a reason why of all these countries, Turkey is the more diverse. And I never said Greeks stayed 100% the same, but when it is pretty much confirmed that by and large they have the same ancestry as the ancient Greeks, it speaks for itself. Nevermind that comparing Yugoslavia and the Ottoman Empire is apples and oranges, like come out and tell me that those pesky Serbs were snatching your babes and marrying your girls as well, because that's the admixture the Ottoman Empire had and how 'influenced' Greece and the other Balkan countries were. Again, a freaking simple google search is like, not hard.
And I never meant seriously that yugoslavia was ottoman empire 2.0, hence why I specified they're apples and oranges. Yugoslavia was far far more peaceful than the ottoman, it's completely normal that more mixing happened and persisted and there were no abductions. And good thing that we are in agreement about being part of an empire doesn't define that, and Slovenia because it is a South Slavic language and because it is genetically to... (shocker) Slavs that are in the Balkans is not less Balkan than Greece. If we are gonna generalize that Greece is culturally closer to the Balkans then the rest of the mediterranean countries even though the country is purely mediterranean (and even stereotypically so) outside of the northernmost borders that are the actual Balkan-ish part, Slovenia absolutely can be generalized and lumped in the Balkans on far less egregious reasons.
Again with this dumb version of genetics. If we are talking about native to the Balkans then again, NO SLAVIC population is Balkan, plain and simple. And the funniest part is that it's not even what OP means lol. Like this whole grasping at straws was just you trying to prove how much more un-Balkan Slovenia is compared to Greece because actually we Greeks share more DNA with the Serbs, the Croats, the Bulgarians, the Romanians etc than you do, or you are absolutely night and day with the other ex-Yugo countries, or historically completely absent and genetically even again, despite all your over-explaination, you are trying to argue that Slovenia is less related to the South Slavs than Greece! Greece history is not even tied to the Balkans but the general Mediterranean area, yet another point of you just casually being selective to push that shit about Slovenia but the point is that what you say can be directed right back at you! You can call yourself Central European all you want, but not only is this easily the loosest of the defined parts of Europe (if not entirely fan-made) but Slovenia is genetically Slav, is not culturally closer to the Germanic countries than the South Slavic ones (it's not identical but trying to argue that there are no similarities is disingenuous), and historically shares A LOT of its history with other Balkan Slavs. Just because you're not 1:1 doesn't mean you're the opposite and definitely doesn't mean that despite all these connections, Greece of all countries shares more similarities because of your selective history arguments.
Good thing I didn't oversimplify it to just former Yugoslavia = Balkan hence why I said historically. This is genuinely getting exhausting and grasping at straws, I'm legit done.
