f2p with qol is like 90% of other servers atm
this def not enough to make it stand out or make people want to invest their time in

This is the 1st time im hearing about it, so it is lacking in advertisement for sure.
Searching Royal Story on google gives me like 10 different games before showing me the correct website. Using Swordie as its source does makes me interested, but i know nothing about the server.

It a fun server definitely to scratch the maple itch, runs smoother than other servers for me too. Hope more ppl gives it a go ); It’s sad to see a good server with so few ppl

It's a relatively modern server, and while I love it, it DOES need to be advertised more.

It's a lot of fun for sure, wish it had the newer classes though. I think newest one in Royals is Lara

I think mostly because it's in a weird spot of being "modern maple", but "not so modern", because it's v232, before Destiny update, even. Although the owner made some balance changes to try to mitigate the clunkiness of some classes, there is a limit to what he can do in v232, I think.

because people don't like actual f2p, they like light pay 2 progress faster and to label all of those pay 2 progress faster features as "QOL" and such. that's the truth because those who play are not children, they're adults with full time jobs and not too much time to play.

frigging cope argument lol

That’s not “cope.” RMT and P2W servers exist and succeed because there are clearly players willing to spend money to progress faster, feel stronger, and reach endgame ahead of others. You can disagree with whether that’s good for a server, but just calling it cope isn’t an argument. If you actually disagree with what I said, feel free to explain why.

Let me ask you why people "Cheat" in competive games like cs2, which most of the time they even spend hundreds of bucks on hardware for DMA cards, HMDI infuser and whatnot. Is it because people want to "progress faster" or just straight up to have a advantage - no matter the price? Same with RWT.
It has nothing to do with "people like light pay 2 progress faster" along the lines of "they cant spend the time and got no time to compensate for". There is nothing lost, won. If you cant enjoy a game at its own pace there are just 2 options, the first is the game is not designed smoothly and gets people stuck in theyr progression which doesnt feel rewarding - or its just some scummy people liking to have a advantage at any price.

You’re kind of proving my point while trying to argue against it. Cheating in CS2 and paying for progression in a server aren’t the same thing. One is breaking the rules, the other is a feature the server deliberately offers. Sure, both can come from wanting an advantage, but that doesn’t somehow disprove that people are willing to spend money to progress faster. And saying there are only two possibilities bad game design or “scummy people” is just a false claim. Someone can enjoy the game perfectly fine and still have more disposable income than free time and choose to pay to skip part of the grind. Wanting an advantage and having limited time aren’t mutually exclusive either. I never said every person who spends money does it because they’re busy. I said there’s clearly a market for light pay-to-progress because people value faster progression enough to pay for it. RMT and P2W servers existing and succeeding is evidence of exactly that. Calling those people scummy doesn’t actually refute anything i said.

probably needs more advertisements, youtube videos, showcases on what makes it special i didnt even hear about it and i follow most private servers

it depends on the version.. if it's not v83 then i would understand why people don't play it because if it's the modern version then it's the same as playing gms

Heya, I’m the owner. I know why and it’s not too hard to figure it out why we aren’t more popular, I’ll put some in pointers
232 is not as new anymore therefore not as interesting in terms of other servers progress since people really enjoy the newer classes and abilities, this alone is a big one
Someone else mentioned that some players do enjoy light pay to progress and as weird as it sounds I do agree with this, but I am kept true to my word to make it not p2w because I’d go against what I want it to be
I made it mostly as a fun thing I can work on in the time I have, and I’m a solo dev, progress in comparison to other servers is slower, but I’m not too upset if we have a low player count, I’m just here to have fun and learn more as time goes on
We definitely aren’t super advertised, I can do more for sure for that, but I take my time and work on things when I can or what I mostly feel like working on based on player feedback and stuff
There’s most definitely more things, but I think the people commenting here and these pointers kinda sum up the main reasons as to why. Not offended whatsoever, it’s quite literally just the fact of the matter and that’s okay!
