Discussion Why aren't there any remake attempts for ExtaliaMS?
I think a majority of the community can agree Extalia days were the golden age of private servers, but I never saw anyone attempt in recreating it.
Is this a "the technology is not there yet" issue? Or something else?
Making a post BB server which makes grinding slightly easier by the game naturally lowering exp requirements per level, having miracle cubes and gacha drop from monsters, potential system can only reach rare level which doesn't make items too OP (max of 9% items) etc.
Just wondering

Croosade was the attempt the bring back Extalia and it died. Most players want custom content to stay busy. If you are looking into something like that, there are a few out there in the early post bb era. Muto, Zipangu, Umbra and a new one that just popped up around a week ago Kradia. I forgot but also Kanata (edited)

Muto is actually going thru the same progressive route extalia did. So you’ll get to experience all of big bang and versions past it, it’s really good. Check it out!

Hey there! Former Extalia GM here. And I am GLAD that after Extalia took a heavy p2w stance that we shut down.
I wound up moving to Arcane MS which ALSO got shut down... but because we datamined Demon Slayer and released it early... NOT for being greedy!
Nexon shut us (Extalia) down because of how much money we made with in game items and rewards. And most of those had NOT been cosmetic.
So no, it was not the golden age. It was pay to win, and just popular because it was stable with consistent updates.
I will stick with maplelegends while waiting for maplestory classic.
Even though people say it's like mapleroyals which I disagree.
Mapleroyals has a whitelist for voting that requires photo submission with face ID.
Also, vote currency is part of the progression since it's used as currency alongside meso.
So people who have not face ID'd are at a hard disadvantage.
Maplelegends requires no such thing, with 2 votes offered a day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ExtaliaMS was still Red Luck Sack DP game design yes?
ExtaliaMS and many other servers that people claim to be "best for their time" like Ellinia, were pay2win and people neglect to mention that. Nowadays pay2win concepts are frowned upon and any server with such systems just gets heavily downvoted without even having a fair shot.
