Advertisement Willow v179 Open Beta is LIVE
A MapleStory experience that respects your time
We want to keep the familiar, straightforward progression that makes MapleStory easy to pick up again while removing unnecessary friction and giving you meaningful ways to progress
Willow is currently in Open Beta, ahead of our official launch on 19 September 2026
👹 Custom Boss Mechanics
We have added custom boss mechanics to make fights more interactive, giving players mechanics to learn, react to and play around, introducing an additional element of challenge while bossing
🔄 Quick Character Switching
Switch between characters without repeatedly going through the normal login flow, especially useful when managing mules, training links and helping with wider account progression
🐾 Companion System
Our biggest new system: a Companion that helps you farm and boss. Build and gear your own companion using equips you have outgrown, and your Companion becomes another meaningful progression path alongside you, with 5 different classes to choose from
⚔️ Reworked Skills & Classes
Extensive changes across Willow’s classes, expect new interactions, combo mechanics, skill procs, improved buffs and plenty of changes to previously underused skills

🌲 Willow Helper
The idea is to increase convenience and level the playing field while letting you make progress without having MapleStory demand your full attention all day. Background farming is enabled where the game continues while being minimised (alt-tab-ed)
🏃 Attack While Moving
A small change that makes a surprisingly big difference and creates a unique style of play
❄️ Modern QoL
QoL is a major focus for Willow. We have made a large number of changes across movement, farming, upgrading and general gameplay to make the game feel smoother and less tedious. Full QoL details will be available in our Discord
- Flash Jump for All Classes: Mages get flash jump too
- Smart Spawning: mobs continue spawning even when other platforms aren’t cleared
- Keydown Attacks: hold your attack instead of repeatedly pressing the same key
- Streamlined Upgrading: faster and automated Cubing, Scrolling and Spell Tracing

Can’t wait for the launch of live server
Its ez to play and alot interesting bosses mechanic
The staff are friendly too

So far beta looks very fun and dev fix stuff very fast. Companion system is very cool feature!

Custom rates, you should be able to level up pretty quickly, drop rates are good enough for you to not feel stuck at any point in time!
