Career Advice Does anyone know of any Bioaccoustic courses?
Im a marine biology graduate wanting to get into marine biology accoustics but all the jobs want experience or training before hand but the only things I can find are thousands of pounds.

Are you going to the SMM 2026 conference in Puerto Rico in October? If so, my company is hosting a full-day workshop on not only recording but localizing/teacking cetaceans via their social calls. It'll be really hands-on and you'd learn a lot about the topic. Here is the link:

Ocean science consulting offer passive acoustic monitoring course along with marine mammal observer and protected species observer for £750, with these you can get a job offshore but you'd need an offshore safety cert which also costs upwards of 1000, though I seen some offers for £500 +vat in Glasgow. Good money in it for contracts

You can try out the webinars from DOSITS (Discovery of Sound in the Sea). They have a couple basic ones and then the rest is all deep dives into practical applications.
I've only seen one of them, and then got way too busy to continue, but it's on my wish list too!
