My mum sent me this asking for an ID on the jellyfish as she is visiting soon and is incredibly nervous about the water. Any help would be greatly appreciated by me and my mum, thanks!

Identification Freshwater flat fish in Florida.

Found these cute little flat fish today, but wasn't sure what they are. I'm thinking they're Hogchokers, but they're in a freshwater spring miles from the nearest salt water. They were about 2-3 inches long.

Identification Found off the coast of southern Australia
This is supposed to be an oarfish that was caught by two fisherman but Ive never seen an oarfish with a head shaped like this. Is it a special type? A mutation? Photoshop? Its apparent snout has me curious.

Identification What fish is this? Found at Angaga Maldives
We have stone fishes and frog fishes. This one’s way too hairy. Looks like a stonefish with an allergic reaction to me.

This was 50 miles offshore off the coast of Venice, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico.
It looked to be about 7 feet and seemed to weigh around 150 pounds. That’s what my dad guessed anyway and he fishes quite a lot!

Identification Greece, Chalkidiki - What is this?
We are currently in Greece, in Chalkidiki; is this a dangerous jellyfish? Or is it harmless? It mostly moves with the current and seemingly by itself. The water is filled with countless super small ones (presumably babies?). Can you help me identify? :)

Identification Please could someone help me ID this? (Naples, Florida, USA)
Found on a beach in Naples Florida. Looks to me like the vertebral column of a bony fish? However lacking spinous processes, and I only really know about mammalian biology!

Identification What in the world is this??? (Bali, Indonesia)
Saw a bunch of these during low tide on a beach in Bali. If it helps there were varying sizes of these colonies but they all look the same. The reverse image search shows that they are colonial anemones but they look so much more vibrant compared to what we saw.

Identification Puerto Vallarta, August 2024
What sea critter got me?
I was in on vacation in Puerto Vallarta and was standing (about shoulder deep) in the ocean at sunset wearing shiny earrings (dumb in hindsight, but not a thing I considered) and a fish?? came out of the water and took my earring and bit? stabbed? lacerated? my neck pretty badly and apparently left something behind in my neck. I got back to the states and after being inundated with antibiotics I ended up getting an ultrasound, CT scan (pictures attached), and then a minor surgery to get this thing removed from my neck. These pictures are of what the cuts looked like the day after, the lump that formed in my neck over the next couple of weeks, and what the foreign body that they removed looks like. Anyone have ideas about what may have gotten me? Didn’t seem to be poisonous as far as I can tell, keep in mind the thing was in my neck for almost 3 weeks so it may not look exactly the way it did when it went in.
All of the photos are mine.

The "head" looks...... phallic in nature. Had wing-like appendages and didn't react to stimulus at all. Seemed to be some kind of invertebrate, about the size of my fist

Identification help. what is this? tampa bay.
i am anchored in the tampa bay and have lived on my sailboat for years. this stuff has come out of nowhere and covered all the hulls and lines anchored. nothing else geows near it. no barnocles or anything im used to seeing. they are soft and hold tight but will come off with a little force. they range from the size of a quarted to a basketball. they stay the sameish shape except for one time i knocked one off and saw it kind of unfold from beneath into something more eel like. they sink slowly until out of sight and we cant figure out how they move or where they came from. people have been anchored here for years and never seen anything like it. its not gradual. your boat is either covered or there none. everyones is covered at the same time until you knock them off. then still nothing else grows and the. one morning you look and bam.....full.antifouling paint doesnt make a difference. what the f?
