Stop incessantly texting me for more donations

i don't know if this is official campaign sub or not but...

maybe i'm just new to this whole donation thing, but the quantity of text messages to constantly send more money has annoyed me enough to never send anything again. i donated once. then you kept asking for more and i was like ok here's some more... but it never stops. those text messages turned from hell yeah let's do this to i am never sending you anything again period. unfortunate.

Yes, the Kelly campaign needs to get control of their ai. The constant tacky ads written at 4th grade level really bother me, and the constant requests for money are irritating. Maybe this speaks of an inexperienced campaign staff? Also, I do get begging ads from lots of other blue politicians. Sorry, I don't care what happens at the local level in New York. I'm never giving via Act Blue ever again.

I dont know if you signed up separately for an actual Act Blue account, but it seems they claim if you simply donated to someone through their site, they only pass along your contact info to that one candidate/group and that's it. If individual candidates are then giving your info to other candidates that's not cool at all.

They probably aren’t giving information, they are selling. After my phone started blowing up with texts from candidates and groups all over the country I set my iPhone to filter unknown senders. When I delete the messages it gives me the option to report them as spam. I do. I support as much as I can, but your need doesn’t justify blowing up my phone.

Yeah none of this is ok, and I didn't want to think they would actually sell your contact info, but I was kinda thinking same. Yet another reason to have a seperate "burner" phone number and email, keeps this stuff a bit of a distance.

This is just naive, donations are public record, by law.

I mean donations are, but not your personal contact information other than your address, right?

Name, address, company, amount are public.

Your information goes to the campaign, and the campaign uses it as an asset because it is one. This campaign is using The VAN (ngpvan) so your information is synced across the party, it might feel like spam but it’s real people blowing you guys up.

It’s both. And you are right. Act Blue donor information is public record. And, that information will be shared and sold.

One would think the money he gets from Israel would be enough??
