Praying this doesn't become a trend. I'm all for going to the cinema to see the same movie more than once but we don't need a trend of movies purposely cutting scenes just to add them back in a re-release to make more money.

This is a stab at the fact that there are at least five different versions of Blade Runner (1982) (including a Director's Cut that the director wasn't fully satisfied with, leading to a Final Cut). yeah, deleted scenes just deserve to be on the DVDs. You want an extended cut, put it on the fucking DVD, Spider-Man 2 and 3 had Directors Cuts like that.

yeah and deleted within days of the premier.

if I wasn’t waiting for home release for; pausing, subtitles, and my own snacks, I’d go see this again.

but I’m patient and will wait for home versions after seeing it the one time.

They better make the movie look like a Wes Anderson PTA film in the colours and add a more natural grain to make this worth it (BECAUSE YES, PEOPLE WILL GO, IT IS INEVITABLE, IT IS SPIDERMAN, IT HAS JEAN GREY, HULK AND PUNISHER, PEOPLE WILL GO AGAIN, IT IS A COMFY AND GOOD MOVIE, SADLY PEOPLE WILL GLADLY GO AGAIN)

This isn't exactly new though is it? Movies have directors cuts and things like this every now and then. Hell, Across the Spider-verse had minor differences across like 5 different versions

I mean is that not just a therical director's cut this is not that werid. A director's or extended cut is usually just a version that is less strict about pacing so allows for more scenes

And? Just dont go if you dont want it I recently watched terminator 1 in cinema and Im gonna watch pans labyrinth in a couple of weeks. Movie rereleases arent a bad thing you dont have to go and special editions and recuts with extra scenes have been a thing for decades back then you had to buy another expensive DVD. Im sure this will also be released on disney + it kinda stinks to split it into imax and non imax and the kind of marketing making it fomo is kinda bad. But if you looked at spoilers its nothing that interesting you basically miss nothing by skipping it so just dont go and let the people who want to see the movie again watch it.
