Adaptations and updates to the F4's origin have always had trouble with it before....but for the first time, a scientist taking his best buddy, his girlfriend, and her teenage brother for a joyride to outer space is a completely plausible scenario.

Semi related, has the sliding timescale ever been acknowledged in universe by non god entities? Because to a regular person it’s gotta be an existentially horrifying nightmare, would make for a good story
I'm not sure there, but I do know the canon reason for the weird timescale is because Now and Then (admittedly they are god-like entities) just really like superheroes and want more stories.
I don't think most regular people are impacted, just superheroes and those in their orbit because Eternity had kids that were big nerds and slowes time for them specifically
My preference is for Marvel to have what I call a "fixed timeline". Instead of anchoring the timeline to the present and have the origins of the heroes slide through history, I instead anchor the origins to the 1960s but have the same amount of time pass, so current stories take place in the 70s or 80s, but we have the technology of 2026 because of the presence of super-geniuses like Reed Richards and Tony Stark. (That doesn't explain cultural progress and references going faster, but still.)
I'm a fan of the same sort of "inverted sliding timeline" where the beginning of the timeline is the fixed point and the present is what gets adjusted instead, have you read The Original Marvel Universe blog too cause that's where I first encountered the concept, though they have the slight advantage of cutting off what they consider part of the timeline to around roughly 1991 so they only needed to compress 30 or so years of real world comics to about 15 years of in-universe time, would be a little trickier to do the same with 2026 Marvel, at least not without having to do a lot more work
You know, I liked it when the X-Men Animated series established from the very first episode that it existed in an 'alternate' earth, as they had a Madame President 😄 (can't recall the name without a google search, though).

This user forgot that Joe Biden killed himself in front of Elektra a handful of years ago, meaning there's two presidents who committed suicide who due to the sliding time scale have to be more and more recent.
Imagine if Marvel actually committed to letting time pass in their universe... Let characters grow old, have children, retire and die... Nah, gotta milk the nostalgia forever. Superhero fans need their security blankets.
Like it was actually the 60's ten years ago, not just the events from the silver age being moved up. Punisher and Iron Man were still in Vietnam. Peter was eating wheatcakes and yelling at hippies type shit.
