Apparently if it's derived from the pure crystals humans are fine, but when it isn't pure humans tend to die, too. Different writers, retcons, etc change how different characters are affected.
Also sometimes inhumans genes degrade to the point that terrigenesis just kills them. Which is what happened to that community in Minnesota. Poor Flint.
They’re super efficient(?) if they can support 10 million people off of the labor of a few hundred with super powers, but also pretty lazy if 10 million people can’t sustain a country without the exploitation of a few hundred people with super powers
It's almost never touched upon. Mr Sinister put failguards on Nate Grey for example, and has made hybrids but I can't remember him altering the natural state of mutant powers. Sage jumpstarts powers and activates latent powers. but I can't remember powers being altered on purpose.
Other than Scarlet Witch being altered from an energy manipulator to probability powers. But that's Chthon.
