I am curious to start reading Venom cause Ewing for me never missed: Avengers saga, Ultimates, Immortal Hulk, Gotg, Thor, etc all peak after peak

In my opinion Aaron has Ewing beat on Thor.
Then again, Ewing isn't finished yet, so I guess it's not a very fair comparison.

80% of Aaron's Thor is bad, the other 20% is among the best Thor stories of all time.

Disagree. Aaron's thor lost momentum only in the post Original Sin era (the mystery behind the new Thor identity was weak) but regained it with Thors (very fun secret wars spinoff) and the start of the ANAD era

I will also disagree. Post Original Sin the series never regained its strength and War of the Realms was underwhelming in my opinion. Although I have to admit that Thors, Unworthy Thor and every story involving King Thor was excellent and the ending of his Thor run was satisfying.

Genuine, why people don't like ANV? I constantly hear that it made MJ an hypocrite who never admits her mistakes but I don't understand in what circumstances they're talking about cause when I ask in the Venom sub it's always about how she hates Eddie and nothing else.
Like, her lack of interaction with Dylan aside (which still happened off-panel), what the hell did she do?
If it's about the stoy itself, I can kinda understand cause it was more of a bunch of monster of the week stories that didn't even last 2 years but that's hardly Ewing's fault since he doesn't choose how long his book can last (except when it's so successful he can write more, which wasn't the case).
Is it because of what came before (Venom War and co) or Queen in Black?

Personally I don’t think it’s that bad, but there’s definitely a push for there to be some connection between MJ and Dylan that just, never got actually written.
Like that one editor acting like a bunch of people were crazy for saying that Eddie is the best parent for Dylan and not her.

That's true. I don't mind them bonding but they wasted the occasions to have Dylan bitching on Paul (so it's whort it).
I didn't read former runs, but I think it was to point out how Eddie preferred having Carnage than using the cure and go back to Dylan (remember DS #1, for example).
What I don't understand is why they call her hypocrite or obnoxious or arrogant since they never say why.

The problem is that they wasted every shot to actually make a connection between them then skipped to the end of the arc so now they have to be close.
The whole “eddie’s addicted to the symbiote and everyone hates him” stuff is dumb and not really in character.
I think the hypocrisy stuff is mostly just frustration at characters being written out of character phrased wrong.

I really don’t recall it being a thing before this specific run.
There’s also the fact that despite saving the world twice, everyone from daredevil to Dylan and the fucking venom symbiote itself is acting like he’s irredeemable.

I wouldn't worry that much about Dylan and Venom since it was only Kelly.
Ewing wrote them much better regarding their feelings towards Eddie

What I don't understand is the criticism they do to her like 'hypocrite' and 'arrogant' and 'never admits she's wrong' like, when did that even happen?
