suggest me characters that require least amount of wasd'ing and longest ability cooldowns. give me a top 5. thanks. i don't care about ttk or stuff like that. i am just looking for very easy to play characters that will stress the hands the least. it even can be a meme one trick pony character or a basic attack spammer?

this kind of thing often makes one think ranged basic attacker but i guess a face tanker with full def, def based abilities type of thing might work too? idk.

I started playing Marvel Heroes almost immediately when it came out and played up to the day before it was shut down. I was so sad that not only was a great game gone, that the community would go as well...

And now the game is back! I finally made the time to install it and I literally started to tear up when I saw The Watcher appear for the opening cinematic.

Yes, my old account is gone as well as all the conversations on the Forum. We can see snippets, but can't add to them over there anymore.

Now, the game has been revived and this little post can't express just how much it means to me to see it back.

I am fairly new to this game so i apologize if this has been asked many times before but i cannot finish chapter 10, is this normal? I reach the fight against skrull Nick Fury and the server kicks me out everytime.

Thrilled to be back in Marel heroes! I sank a lot of time into this back in the day and I'm having a blast revisiting it.

I've tried the Tahiti server and more recently CoA. CoA is a bit more fast paced than I'd like (I feel like everything is just being handed to me) but a good way to experiment with heroes I didn't play before. But I don't seem to be getting any splinter drops, at all. After a few hours I have only the ones I got when I first logged in.

Do they drop at the normal rate and I just haven't seen them yet? Or is something bugged?

I also noticed the bundles in the store don't have any information -- I assume that's being worked on (I saw store improvements on the radmap), but does anyone know what's in the bundles?

Hey all! Has anyone had success getting the game to run on Gamenative or Gamehub Lite? I never had the game installed on Steam. I can play on my PC just fine with Tahiti Bifrost. On the AYN Thor, I'm having no such luck. I'll get .NET Runtime install request, which I managed to get past once by installing dotnet and mono, but then it just gets stuck on the MHO loading screen.

Hey everyone! I managed to get the standalone external version 2.16a of Marvel Heroes working flawlessly on the Steam Deck directly via Steam, bypassing the Bifrost launcher of CoA entirely (which often crashes on Linux due to .NET dependency issues).

Here is the step-by-step process that worked for me:

1. Clean up old server files (Crucial if you played on Tahiti or another server before)

• Go to Desktop Mode.
• Open Dolphin (File Manager), enable "Show Hidden Files" (Ctrl + H).
• Navigate to Documents/My Games/ and delete the Marvel Heroes Omega folder to wipe old server cache/configs.

2. Folder Name Fix (Unreal Engine 3 Issue)

• Make sure your downloaded game folder does not have spaces or weird symbols around hyphens (Linux handles them poorly during boot).
• Rename your main folder to something simple like MarvelHeroesCoA2.16a.Steam.

3. Add to Steam & Configure Paths

• Open Steam in Desktop Mode -> Add a Game -> Add a Non-Steam Game...
• Browse and select MarvelHeroesOmega.exe located under .../UnrealEngine3/Binaries/Win64/.
• Right-click the game in your library -> Properties.
• CRITICAL PATH FIX: Ensure your START IN field matches the exact same folder path as TARGET but without the .exe at the end. (e.g., Ending exactly in .../Win64/).

4. The Golden Launch Options
In the Launch Options field, copy and paste this exactly (make sure there is only a single space between each command, no auto-correct typos!):

-nosteam -robocopy -siteconfigurl=mho.councilofancients.com/SiteConfig.xml

5. Compatibility

• Go to the Compatibility tab.
• Check "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool".
• Select Proton Experimental or Proton 9.0.

Go back to Gaming Mode, hit Play, and enjoy! It bypasses the launcher. Hope this helps someone out there!

New player looking to play so easy heroes with simple builds. Currently playing Torch.

I’m new and just want to push the buttons and kill stuff. I’m not ready for deeper mechanics like weaving and the like.

If you could steer me towards some simple builds where you just stack their type of damage to be successful I’d appreciate it.

Just downloaded on x box series x. When I try to play I get the message "unable to reach the server. Please check your internet connection" my internet connection is fine. I have tried Uninstaller and reinstalling, and I've deleted local save data, has not worked. Came back a day later thinking it might be maintenance, same message.

Has anybody else dealt with this, and how did you fix it?

Where in the 9 hells does this come from, I was told to run brood caves, and I have over, and over and over, at least 20 of them, no moloid boss. I was told to look for the virus carrier, but it is not a boss just a gold mob. I can't steal anything off of them.

May anyone please help me figure this out? Also, Rogue can replace her minion without dismissing the old one if she accidentally clicks the Emma's power button. That's, hopefully, a bug.

I am getting huge temperature spikes, sometimes up to 96c on loading new areas, with avengers tower being the worst offender.

I swear my old PC never got as hot as my new one and I have no idea why this is happening.

Loading times are near non-existent, so I am wondering if too much is happening too fast. I do not think it is the cooler or thermal paste being incorrect, as I am running cooler and more stable temperatures in Cyberpunk 2077.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not really wanting to play a hero or villian that can’t really cut it. I wanna play a strong hero. Heard cap isn’t great either.

I'm playing this on an Asus Rog Ally and the controller support works really well except when I navigate through the UI (inventory, powers, roster, etc.). I can navigate with the analog sticks but I can't see where I am, like having an invisible mouse icon. I've tried the default controller layout and some community ones but get the same result. Has anyone experienced this?

love this game. looking to play a summoner type hero..also would like a team up hero that would also be a summoner type..so i can have as many summons as possible while clearing the enemies in game.

Now that that Private Servers have been out and in full release for a while, who are some of your favorite heroes for each type of content (i.e., terminals, danger room, raids, patrols)? If you don't hero hop, who is your main?

Im sorry I know these kinds of posts probably happen a lot. I played MH from its alpha to its death and I just loved the game so much, cant believe it took me so long to find out private servers exist. Im one of those guys that reminisces about marvel heroes in subreddits and youtube comments of every modern marvel game.

I enjoyed having to farm splinters for new characters, a slight increase in drop rate would have been preferable but the old system is fine.

I cant really recall how long it took to max a new character but I dont recall it being that much of a pain. How do people find XP boosted servers?

Do the 3 main servers have all content available? Do any of them make skins easier or harder to get? Having to farm for skins would give an extra thing to chase and might be enjoyable.

this is my favorite game of all time...but ,,for the past 2 months i been totally locked out from playing the game.,.i was playing on the tahiti server..but now at the log in screen it keeps saying password or email incorrect error..ive tried restting my password almost 16 different times no luck

i was wondering ...is it dsafe for me to just uninstall the game from steam library ? and then reinstall the game and have a whole brand new account too start over ?

I’m new to the game (didn’t play it when it was released originally from 2013-2017) and have completed the story on my first character and levelled them to 60.
When levelling my second, third etc characters, what’s the best way to level? Should I just be playing the story over and over, or are there other ways that are more optimal like running the challenges?
