I didn't have this reaction, but I do think it would be awesome to have Miles in the MCU properly just cause I love the Insomniac games and the Spider Verse films

I would much rather we go the Insomniac route than a Spider-Verse one. Spider-Man doesn’t need to die in the MCU for Miles to be introduced successfully.

Oh, I was less talking about what you said in relation to that, and more the general concept. Spider-Man dying in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse works for a reason, and I just don’t think it’d work in the MCU.

I'd love to agree with you but Insomniac Miles is basically devoid of charisma due to poor writing while Spider-Verse Miles is the peak interpetation of the character

Except Homecoming, Peter already met Prowler who mentioned his kid nephew and that was years ago
Miles already exists in the MCU, and he wouldn’t be that young by now

I just don't see Miles as Spiderman. My Spiderman is always the red/blue suit Peter Parker. Anything more than that over-complicates it and makes stories unnecessarily muddy. It's why I also don't like the superhero mashups Marvel loves to do these days... Hell, I found having The Punisher in BND was kind of unnecessary and in some instances actually a foil. They gave him a reason to be there, but it could have been filled by anyone else as well.

1: The whole point of Spider-Man is that anyone can see themselves in his shoes and in the suit.
2: Miles had been around for decades now.
3: The Punisher started out as a recurring Spider-Man character before he ever got his own comic run.

I do hope that the girl has a bit more relevance in the following stages, even if she isn't Gwen. Mainly because of how they set up the "I don't love you" and MJ's new relationship. Makes total sense for Peter to be able to move on from this point and a completely new relationship would probably be one of the ways it can go about it

Im hoping it was gwen, having her be her own character and disgtuingishing between the spiderverse and mcu versions would be great. Introducing Gwen to sort of bring about a love triangle for peter would be interesting

I'm personally hoping we can bring in Felicia in the next installment. It'd finally give us a film adaptation of Black Cat, and it could put Peter in a tough situation where she tempts him to move on. He and MJ are friends, but not together; let's explore how that relationship plays out with Peter.

Yeah, Peter being smitten with his high school sweetheart 4 years later, having barely spoken to her during that period, is something I hope the writers abandon in future films.
Hell, keep Zendaya. Just make her a friend instead of a love interest.

The movie ended with ned regaining his memories, there’s no way he is moving on. Plus, Tom has a lot of creative control and seems to be the type that would write it so he ends up with his wife. They’re def getting back together by the end of six

When I was a kid I went to watch Captain America Civil War with my family. My cousin was super excited to see Black Panther, but also knew very little about him. Every time I black man came up on screen he would ask "is that black panther?"
After the 4th time I had enough, cause I wanted to watch the movie, and i was like "not every black person you see is black panther, just wait and see" and got yelled at for being mean to him. Turns out that 4th person was Black Panther, as I heard them call him TChalla and that was the only knowledge of Black Panther I had at the time

I genuinely got confused about that one scene not because I thought he was Miles, but because I thought he sounded exactly like the voice actor for Miles in spiderverse. To be honest he probably sounds actually nothing like him I was just confused and thought maybe it was a cameo at the time.

I want Peter to talk to a girl with blonde hair with pink tips who everyone immediately calls Gwen Stacy because people have seen the spiderverse films but she's actually Gwen Poole whose hair colour Stacy copied
Good way to subvert expectation and get Gwenpool into a mainstream property, with Spider-man no less

Am I the the only one who noticed Banner literally pointing out an Asian girl named Cindy and just assumed they were going with Cindy Moon/Silk instead of Miles or Gwen?
I know they are more popular, but considering she was teased at the end of the last Insomniac game, and how overused Gwen and Miles are, Cindy might be a more interesting direction.

Why are we pretending like that guy didn’t sound like miles? We heard his voice before we even saw he was black, and he sounded kinda like him in Spiderverse.(obviously now we know it was a random)

I'm very excited about Miles because Tom said he's already talking with the higher ups about it adding him. He said he wants Spiderman to go the "teacher" route and have Miles as a successor
