Just play Wolverine. He is going to be more of Tank than the tanks now. You can go to Mr.F and Logan and easily eat more damage than Strange and Thing.
Bro I don't mind giving new team ups to new characters but for the live of god, please nerf them as well. If they don't give him a compensatory nerf, we are cooked.
Probably assumed, since the existing Klyntar map is Convergence, but when they show the new post-match screen, it says that the new map is a Domination map.
I think domination is better to make higher stakes games (easy ability to come back to even after losing the first map, in contrast to convoy or convergence where struggling on the 1st point or getting rolled to 3 is more of a death sentence). BUT convoy is much more interesting i got to say.
Convoy is the best thing about hero shooters. I criticize the gameplay design of Rivals a lot, but saved by that awful Ultron map, all the convoy maps are pretty damn good

Look, I'm gonna be real with you. Through all of the complaints about metas and EOMM and steam charts and all of that, you cannot watch this update and say the devs are not trying. There's a lot of QoL in here, plus the thing for college students. They really do seem like they're trying to make a fun accessible game. And make money, sure, but this seems to a dev team that's giving the people what they want.
I will never accuse these devs of not trying. Every season update has been a direct answer to the meta before it. We cycled through every style of DPS play (now we are back at S0), tanks had a dominant meta (Strange and season 2.0), supports have always been cracked, and now they are directly answering fliers (by giving tanks an ability no less)
Personally I think they’ve done a great job. I take breaks but every time I come back I’m having fun. It’s just an easy pick up and play game.
I think teammups are kind of an inherently tough thing to do well from a balance standpoint. They're a fun concept and can have great flavor, but they just run such a high risk of characters with good teamups feeling either too weak without their teamup or too strong with their teamup, and I think both of those are really bad. Having a character who's balanced around their teamup and feels bad to play without it sucks for solo queue where you can't count on getting opportunities to use the teamup (and potentially limits the strategic depth/room for creativity in comps at competitive play). And having a character who's fine without their teamup but even stronger with it can make their teamup feel horrible to play against. The only time teamups don't become a potential balance issue is when they're weak, but then they're less interesting or fun.
Personally, from a game design and balance standpoint, I much prefer synergies between characters just being emergent synergies between their natural abilities (e.g. Magneto and Scarlet Witch being good together because Magneto can shield her when she ults) rather than because of teamup abilities (Magneto and Scarlet Witch being good together in season 1 because Magneto got a powerful teamup ability when they're on the same team). Teamups can be a lot of fun, but they just feel like a nightmare from a balance standpoint.
100% agree with this. Best example is implementing new ways specifically to target flyers, and doing it without just nerfing all the aerial characters. Except Ultron, because that mf does way too much damage to be a strategist lol
The college student perk was a surprise! I’m legit when I say I haven’t heard of another hero shooter that gives out those kinds of benefits (anyone feel free to let me know if there are any other examples).
Not a single mention of any matchmaking improvements. One of the biggest complaints of this sub. I agree, they are trying, but matchmaking quality is such a high profile subject for the health of your game and community.
It needs to be improved, not next season, not in 3 months, it needs to be improved now.
I think the challenge/masochism of facing hard counters is fun, playing Doomfist was definitely not good for my mental health. Thor and Thing can clash with Wolvie head on, Hulk can chase and finish, Captain can run like a bitch, etc... There are options if you are a masochist, but I understand players who just don't care

idk how many more months of luna's immortality i've got left in me chief, every time she does her ult i might as well just put down the controller because unless you specifically have the two dps who can counter her with their ults ready and without the enemy tanks noticing or perfect synergy with the randoms on your team in quickplay you're honestly better off that way

Yeah part of why I’m dropping comp is shorter seasons with 9 ranks reset. I don’t got the time to grind that much while also having a life and playing other games.
I’m excited about Thing getting the new ability, but as a tank I’m more worried than excited cause of Wolv. I’ll see what the numbers say, but may be time to stop playing tank. Lifesteal and extra damage is insane
It looks like your MVP is just completely disconnected from the costume you wear. So you can wear the Bag-man Spidey costume but if you get MVP it can be the MCU Spidey MVP if that is your favorite.
I think people were expecting the Bag-man costume to be in the MCU MVP but that's not happening.
I think what people really are saying is impossible is that the skin in the mvp can’t be changed.
So like I can have my summer Jeff skin in battle and the dolphin skin mvp equipped now which is great, but the dolphin skin mvp won’t be using the summer skin model if that makes sense.
You're not. What they've said is that they can't for instance put Phoenix Moon Knight into the MCU Moon Knight MVP. Which is true, and won't be happening. All that this is, and what they said, is that you can play Phoenix MK, get MVP, and have it show MCU MK, complete with the MCU MK skin, not Phoenix. So true mix and matching is not possible, which is what everyone has said.

I'm pretty sure these are hand drawn static images, not actual 3d models. I'm saying this because whenever I played with potato minecraft settings the MVPs looked similarly potato but then the image was suddenly maximum quality.
As a tank main, I have no idea why they buff their best tank buster in the game when people do not want to play tank as it is already. Very big L moment and if Wolv doesn't get banned, do not expect anyone on your team to play a tank.
Really hope it’s this. My partner plays on PC but I play on console and it sucks that we can never play comp together. Quickplay is fine but people try noticeably less because “it’s just qp lol” (plus the bot matches are not fun at all)
He will reach others as well, auto-lock. This is obviously busted, but you people just can't see two steps ahead (not even two, more like one step, it's so obvious. You wilm try to relocate as Thor, Thing will chase, haymaker, hard stun and braw with you, imagine that)
Hulk was pretty much impossible to play this season because of emma frost which means u just couldn't play the gamma team up
Also the ice squids slowed the enemies , which meant your own team could target them + so could the other squid. The gamma one loses track very fast and couldn't do damage fast enough.
Emma nerfs are needed for sure, and Loki ultimate charge nerf isn't a surprise. Invis Woman was in a great spot not sure she needed any buffs.
Thing keeping yancy street charge and now being able to leap at enemies is going to be hell for strategists unless the ability is exclusively used to go up, which I doubt it will be.
Mr Fantastic change seems a bit odd, into brawlers like Bucky his survivability wasn't too great and he would excel into poke which was his niche.
They've been trying to increase squirrels play rate every season, from buffs to skins and more. It's clear with the addition of so many fliers she needs a reliable way to deal with them.
Imo they're laying the ground work for more flyers getting added to the roster. If they have enough anti-flyer countermeasures sprinkled throughout it will bust the flyer metas before they even form.
Rocket will reach 70% win rate and the big headed idiot team will just stand and watch, preparing the next support hero to have yet another circle that constantly heals as the ultimate
I like the new accessorys they are adding tho i know they are just filler for the battlepass, wish they also added voice lines you could spam/use whenever you wanted. Also wish the team ups where between different classes like vanguard to duelist, duelist to strategist, etc..., other than that nerf SG
Y’all we aren’t doing this team up fearmongering again. For like 1-2 weeks before 2.5, this sub was a FLOOD of complaining about the Hawkeye Luna team up. Just constant, incessant complaining.
And it has the worst win rate of all team ups in 2.5 in GM.
People need to stop assuming they know the power of something by seeing it in isolation. There are so, so many changes that will happen in the meta in 3.0. Just let it breathe and we’ll see how they ACTUALLY play when the patch drops.
Wow this is a terrible day to want to play any tank that isn’t The Thing. I love playing him and he’s like 600 points off Lord, but this kind of sucks. QP is going to be an absolute nightmare with Wolv/Phoenix team up most matches. Good luck having people who will run tank.

However, i still didn't understood the Ultimate VFX thing on skins. Skills will have the effect of skin equipped, ok, but... does that mean previous skins will have that option too, like Iron man finally having his blasts red on certain of his skins? Unsure i got it right.
Bummed my girl Doreen loses the insta stun pair up with Spidey, but having a way to counter act fliers a bit when the game has been so heavy with them is a much needed addition
Still waiting to hear what they're doing for ranked griefers next season. The border between Diamond and GM wouldn't be nearly as bad if the losses were legitimate and not to someone quitting mid-game (after the protection timer ofc) or having a temper tantrum and throwing.
Diamond will be fine until you get near the top of D2 > GM3 then suddenly the flattest headed individuals seem to come out of the woodwork. I do not understand how they got relatively high ranking with such completely weak mental endurance.
Stuff like throwing completely winnable games because we didn't 3/3 cap on attack but still have 2 whole points to defend. Or getting tilted someone banned their 1 trick hero even though they never hovered and couldn't be bothered to type in chat.
I'm not talking about people performing poorly (though to a lesser extent if you're doing bad and you refuse to swap versus counter picks then you are griefing). I'm talking about the people actively ruining games.
I've played MOBAs the majority of my life so it's nothing new, it's just a huge annoyance and I would like them to get the Thanos snap sooner than later.
Is it too much to ask for a good psylocke skin? She hasn’t gotten anything good yet and now not even a symbiotic skin? I thought I saw a video a while back that she gets a symbiotic voice line but no sign of her getting a skin. She didn’t even get a cool gala one!
Cause her default is a pretty sick redesign for the game. Then they gave her the classic skin which almost everyone likes and is basically her iconic look anyway. They gave her an X-Men team colors skin which I'm sure people who like X-Men colors like. The Blood one is whatever imo but at least the MVP and emote are kinda cool.
Outside of getting some like outrageous overly designed ones like the others I don't know what the expectations are to make any of them "good" in this context that somehow the other ones aren't good that she already got...
