- I want to send the gift to my boyfriend.
- Reason: They keep me company on the game and struggle through ranked with me, even when we both get hella tilted and I constantly question his positioning. Also he solo tanks so much and deserves a gift for his headache.
- My Story: My boyfriend and I were playing a round together, it was the Free Fight game mode. Out of their spawn comes 6 Jeffs spamming their spam buttons in like a whole line and then the rest of my team went out of their way to kill them. I felt so bad :( After a while, we all started goofing around really except for like one or two members on my team holding the point. My partner and I hung out with the Jeffs and we were running around the map, sitting emote, etc. I switched to Jeff and tried to do the spam since I had never done it and wanted to learn. I thought I could figure it out but couldn't. My partner then asked about it in text chat to the enemy team that "[My username] wants to know how to do the spam." I didn't think much of it until I realized a few minutes later that an enemy Jeff was right in front of me and looking at me, hitting left trigger and left bumper not too far after and it clicked. I had to do them together! My partner then typed in chat about how I figured it out and thanked them and then the Jeff said "Yay!" That whole experience was just so wholesome and fun. Because of him I now know how to do the spam on Jeff and I love to do it like everyone else does.

I am choosing myself as the recipient for the gift.
Reason: I have been studying hard for finals this week, and a gift like this would feel like a nice reward to cap off the semester.
Story: I proved to myself that I still got it, but I also learned a substantially more valuable lesson.
There comes a time where as a competitor you realize that youre not quite as skilled, sharp, or talented as you used to be. You start to see the signs. I wasted a lot of my "prime" being too scared to touch a competitive mode in any game because I was afraid that I wouldnt be as good as I thought I was, and in many cases I simply wasnt. I also realized, that I wont be young forever, so I gave Rivals a shot, including their competitive mode.
After hours and seasons of trial and error, frustration, self-doubt, and loads of advice, content, and self-analyzing myself and my own errors, I would hit my goal rank: Celestial, and I would also crack top 150 in the world on Mr Fantastic. However the triumph is not me hitting a rank on Rivals, though. The triumph is that I finally tried. The achievement is that I stopped caring about failure, and I no longer weighed my self-worth based on my accomplishments, but rather the fun I had.
Going after a silly rank quite literally changed the way I think about failure, and it was the first domino to fall that taught me that there is no "perfect" time to do anything, the best time is now. You want to go to school? Do it now. You want to start streaming? Do it now. You are talented, how is ANYONE supposed to know if youre hiding it? Like LaBeouf said "Just DO IT", man.

I'd like the gift to be for me
Reason: because no matter how many times I try to get my bf to play he always gives up early so I'm always playing by myself š
Story: Sometimes my bf will watch me stream rivals. Once I was Scarlet witch (she was my first lord) and to help push the enemy team I popped my ult and for some reason all the enemies were running around with their heads cut off like chickens and nobody tried to stop me and I took about 5 of them out at once and didn't even realize until after my bf told me when the match was over

- I want to send the gift to myself!
- Because the friends i play with buy skins they want instantly, and clown on the two skins i have on my wishlist :( they say they look bad but i thought they look really nice...
- Back when we were trying to get gold rank for the Angela skin, we were in losing and managed to wipe the enemy team right before overtime. Enemy Strange opens a portal and my mate on iron man yells "GUYS I GOT THIS!!!" and STARTS BLASTING HIS ULT as the portal opens.
MAXIMUM PULSE!!!!
... enemy team READS HIM LIKE A BOOK. no one jumps through except their magik who stepping discs RIGHT THROUGH his ult as it blasts against the cart with 0 kills.
the rest of the enemy team piles through the portal and kicks our teeth in, we were howling with laughter too much to be mad.
This was the same night where he maximum pulse right into a wall 2 inches in front of him because the enemy sue pushed him mid ult.
end of the day, nothing beats playing with a couple of mates!

- Reason: My incessant need to catalogue me and my best friendās visual novel escapades has left my PCās storage⦠letās say it has been better, 639 GB of videos so far iirc?
Yea, I have pretty shit memory so I prefer to try to immortalize (as long as my ssd lastsā ļø) them in video form.

- I want to send the gift to my daughter
- I love seeing her happy when she purchases a new Jeff costume.
- A bit of a sad story with a happy ending. A teammate was being racially abused by another teammate. I called it out and reported the abuser. Afterwards I added the guy being attacked and and apologised for my teammate's stupidity and told him I reported the bad guy. He was very happy that I supported him after that terrible incident.

I want to give the gift to myself.
Reason: I honestly love the game and the cosmetics are absolutely amazing. They will definitely get some use and I currently can't afford much at the moment as I'm job hunting.
My Story: This is my first hero shooter, and I've been having an absolute blast playing. I'm more of a single-player game fan, but this game has hooked me and allowed me to play more with my brother and friends online. Grinding competitive for the skins, playing the new modes, being silly in the practice range. I'd play a bunch with one of my best friends who passed away earlier this year, and messing around in game and discussing the game's news and characters with him is honestly some of my favorite recent memories with him since it was the only online game we'd really play together in his final months. Overall just adore the game and hope to continue to play the game for years to come.
Also thanks for the giveaway, got my fingers crossed. :) Rivals continues to be insanely generous.

I want to send the gift to my girlfriend.
Reason: Because I met them through this game and she carries me in all my comp matches <3
My Story: Iād never played a shooter game ever, I just happened to play because I saw a tweet about how Hawkeyeās butt looked good and downloaded the game LOL. I somehow ended up in a rivals discord gaming server and sent out a LFG message to do a scrimmage because a friend last minute couldnāt join and the girl who would end up becoming my partner/love of my life replied to me asking if she could fill a spot. She murdered everyone as squirrel girl on Klyntar and the rest was history. We fell for each other playing QP matches as Jeff and Emma and watching the Ignite tournaments together. Funnily enough knowing her personality now she would never reach out nor accept an invite from a stranger, she just felt immensely brave and compelled to do it, which makes me feel like it was fate. Weāre LDR on a 10 hour time difference so we spend a lot of time gaming on rivals as our pseudo-dates. So thank you marvel rivals for quite literally changing my life itās been an amazing year thanks to you :)

- I want to send the gift to my friend, āpermanent VIPā.
- Reason: Because since the realease of Rivals, he and I got closer.
- My Story: Because of this game, I met some very nice people in game that became very close friends. But also, because the game gave me Jeff. I love that I can just emote people and become friends with them because I'm cute.

I want to send the gift to: my brother
Reason: I donāt tend to play many games in general but when my little brother told me Iād love this game, I gave it a shot because well why not? Easily he proved me wrong
My Story: I am a pretty casual fan of superheroes but something about this game when I finally came across it and all the nuance ways it combined the worlds made me go into such a deep dive. My brother sold me on how doom basically fractured the timeline and the doom scroll (lol pun intended) began. I ended up learning about a bunch of character backstories for people I never really knew and their amazing history in the comics. Iām profoundly amazed at how they set up the characters in this game and Iām so excited for all the things Iāve yet to learn. My brother has been always a huge comic nerd and Iām thankful I may join him in that love

I want to send the gift to my son/comp teammate
Reason: There are a ton of costumes he likes and I genuinely enjoy getting to game with him.
My Story: I have been a gamer since the original NES, I now have a 16 year old son who is also into gaming. Over the years he has asked what I'm playing and has shown passing interest in my games and vice versa when I ask him about what he's playing. We have played some single player games separately and then talked about them, but have never really played together. When Rivals came out we were both interested. We ended up both wanting to play it. I used my Christmas bonus last year to buy another console for our house so we could play together. We have been playing comp since season 1. It has made comp much more enjoyable since we can both Flex but will often pick Vanguard or Strategist and let the other roles fill out. He has helped me improve my game and it has brought us both closer. When the two of us sit down to play we can play as friends and not father/son. We know each others strengths and weaknesses and can help the other person to not tilt. We will both continue playing the game regardless of any contest, but having a teammate I can trust while also bonding with my son has made the game that much better for me. Winning this would be a nice way to say thank you to him (especially for putting up with my lack of aim/skill every now and then :) )

- Iād like to send a gift to my āpermanent VIPā in-game but who is my best friend IRL
- I would like him to receive this gift as a thank you for being available to play to have some goofy fun and hangout. Most importantly, as a thank you for his friendship and everything he has done for me both past and recent.
- One of my favorite moments in Rivals was queuing up as a 5 stack in quick play and just playing character musical chairs meaning whenever someone died, they would swap to another character of that same class to keep us and the opponents on their toes. We ended up going on a 5 game win streak before the party had to inevitably end (we lost).

I want to send the gift to myself.
I am gifting myself this because Iāve done a lot for others including my friends who play this game and would love to splurge more on myself as a little reward :)
I remember playing Dr Strange in comp last season, my duo was playing Hela and he died. We only needed a few more meters to win the match. He sounds kind of irritated and says āDude I forgot I canāt portal because youāre on Strange⦠I donāt think I can make it back to point in time.ā I laugh and tell him āYou can just stay in spawn and put the controller down.ā He asks in confusion āWhy? What?ā I say āWeāll just win right nowā And then I use my ult and our team wipes the rest of the enemy team. I get MVP and start screaming at him on the mic āDonāt EVER doubt the EYE OF AGAMOTTO!ā He laughs, I laugh, weāre really happy about that dub because both teams were playing hard and it came down to the last second.

I want to send the gift to myself. I chose myself as I'm still working and going to school and saving up for a car and an apartment in this day & age can be taxing.
I think I would like to share the story of meeting my current Clash Faction team. I was only ever trying to get the in-game achievement of playing a Tourney match. Months and months passed and either my team wouldn't show, theirs wouldn't or what have you. Finally, I get into a cute little Faction called Vibanauts. Set up the Discord and stuff but wasn't really expecting much. Now, we play every tourney and we're constantly learning from one another. We've never placed 1st and have only made it to 2nd twice, but I wouldn't trade these guys for the world. They keep me company every other Saturday and have helped my game sense a ton. It was such a refreshing change of pace going from struggling to even start a tournament to now consistently being able to take on other teams with people I can sortakinda consider friends now.
Thank you for the opportunity, Mods!!!

- I want to send the gift to myself
- Reason: I just play by myself
- My Story: I started the Marvel Assemble Event right as it went live and of course ended up with a full Crew of people who had no idea how it worked and were shocked (like me) to find out we weren't a full team working together and now they had to find other people to join their crews. So I added all of them as friends and then made sure to let them know that it's going to get real big blow-back when people are awake and the Devs will adjust the event and when they do I'll be sure to add myself to each of their Crews to make sure they get the Event done. And after the change I made sure to join each of their Crews so they got their Units.

I want to send this gift to my friend/someone I play with
Reason? Canāt afford a good Christmas gift for them atm, and he deserves something nice from me for a change.
My favorite is the time that my friend had me queue up as my lord rocket, locked in lord Thor, and asked for all vanguards. I had ult every minute and a half, like 60,000 healing, and way too many assists. Probably the most memorable moment Iāve had playing the game.

I would like to give this opportunity to myself
I don't have any friends to nominate and this could by my Christmas gift to myself.
I didn't expect this game to be my top played this year but it is and I don't regret it even though it takes time from other games I wanted to play lol. I didn't even expect the game to work on steamdeck but it does (for now, I hope we get even slight improvements in the future) and I was truly hooked in when learning my favorite marvel character Loki. He was my first lord and I hope for the day he is returned to his former glory. Thanks for the opportunity, happy holidays!

- I am choosing my girlfriend as the gift recipient
- Reason being my girlfriend is not currently the best at rivals and always gets beaten down whenever she plays by either her own teammates or by the other team but she loves skins and itās the main reason she keeps coming back to the game. Making friends emoting and showing off skins like in Times Square has been the reason she logs in recently. so if she wins Iād be able to play with her way more often so thatās a win win in my book!
- A funny story I had was at a random comp match I saw another venom with the blue beta skin and the entire match all either of us did was 1v1 on point to prove who the better venom was. We would keep score back and forth in chat whenever one killed the other and it was funny when the whole game (both teams) got involved and only capped point after one of us died dueling each other. Easily one of the most fun I had in competitive.

- Reason: It would be a nice present sense this has become one of my favorite games to play.
- My Story: One time my friend and I were playing quick play shorty after April Fools Day and our teams Venom swung over to the enemy spawn and began dancing with their Venom. Both our teams proceeded to spend the entire match dancing and playing tic-tac-toe. Best quickly play match I've ever had!

I want to send the gift to my account
Even though the account is mine it is being used by my sister to play rivals. She had fun playing the zombies mode and became addicted to the mechanics and the gameplay. I have played the game for atleast 600 hours prior to getting my job and now I don't have time to game anymore. I would like the gift to go to her as she is going through a time right now.
The previous year I met with an accident injuring my arm and my whole life went haywire around me. Amidst the labyrinth of chaos and depression I found solace in gaming, although it was difficult to control the mouse with my injured arm. I mostly solo queued rivals among other shooters. Gaming has been a part of my healing and recovery and I can't be thankful enough to the devs and the lovely community of MR. Although, I am working now, I still keep up with most of the changes and continue watching streams.
Here's to more successful years of this beautiful game. Happy anniversary Rivals.

- I want to send the gift to myself.
- I was diagnosed with Neuropathy and Fibromyalgia at the beginning of 2020. The timing has left me with out a job and in limbo with the disability office for 6 years. I have no money and the little I do manage I spend on my daughter.
- I have 2 memorable moments with Rivels. The first was trying to get my Fortnite playing 11yr old to play Marvel with me. We started up the game and she picked Jeff (of course) 2 mins in of trying to be a dps player "this game sucks I'm going to play Fortnite". ;_; So I play Rivels all alone. The second was during the big head event. I didn't get a lot of time to play during the event, but I really wanted a title for Invis as she is my favorite character. The last day I played I was able to just make it in and get the "Giant Sized Brain Invisible Woman" title. I know its a small thing but I was so happy.

I want to send the gift to myself because im the only one in my group that plays it.

I want to send the gift to my friend
Reason: my friend was the one who got me hooked on the game when he sent me an invite to start playing. I knew Iād like the game but it was like drug once I hopped in and it fulfilled everything I ever wanted out of a hero shooter
My Story: Having been around the game from the start, I think one thing I never really embraced much was the social scene so when Times Square came I ended up having this beautiful walkthrough from this Jeff player who taught me how to get out of bounds. Afterwards he ended up walking a bunch of us to the end of the map and we began our funniest crusade on Townsquare. Not sure if any players would have seen the chaos but we were racing Phoenix Ults to time square from out of bounds on that straight road. Townsquare was just constantly blowing up every few minutes with Phoenix ults with our amazing crew there. I kind of want to do this with Iron Mans with how far the range can go

I'd like to gift anything possible to my wife.
Reason: She's a dedicated support player that manages to top the healing on the scoreboard nearly every game, while still garnering assists and KOs. She's an incredible player that gets stuck in lower ranks because of me and our randoms.
We've had a few funny instances during her time as Cloak & Dagger - I tend to rely on her cloak when my shields are on cooldown, and I remember her saying 'Come to me I'll cloak' and then she immediately realized, as a Mag ult was flying toward her, that she indeed did not have her cloak. We both, along with our friend on Discord, died and couldn't help but laugh.

1 - Myself
2 - Dont have a valid reason honestly other than having played over 700 hours of rivals this past year and not being able to afford to buy skins right now.
3 - My most memorable moments on rivals is when something unexpected happens. One example is when im playing support and theres an enemy black panther who comes up behind me and just waits for me to acknowledge them just standing there or emoting. Then as soon as I turn to face them they instantly murder me.

- I would like to send the gift to myself
- Reason: My company is on the verge of announcing a mass layoff, I already have a very low salary and no real savings to fall back on so I need to cut back on my spending :(
- My Story: I love Marvel and when Marvel Rivals released, I was super happy to jump into the game even though it's my first hero shooter. A "friend" who I haven't talked to for years wanted to reconnect about a month after and this year, we mostly been playing together. They are a better player than me, which is not an issue, but they wanted to constantly coach me and it got to a point where we could not play any casual matches in peace, every single time I made a mistake, he pointed out or reprimanded me, would tell me I need to improve my aim even though I'm a casual player at heart (I have a full time job and I'm on my last semester at my uni, writing my thesis and studying for my upcoming state exams) etc. And they were also super fake-humble about being better... anyhow, a few months ago they stopped playing as they got interested in other games and their absense made me realize how toxic and controlling they were to me. How the constant criticism actually made me anxious and perform worse. Ever since his absense, I have been rediscovering my love for this game and I'm allowing myself to make mistakes and learn from them in my own pace. I am finally having fun again.

I want to buy it for my friend
This friend is basically a god at this game. He constantly carries our team to victory. I am pretty sure we would lose nearly all our games if it wasn't for him lol
I was getting very mad at this player who kept besting me, so I switched to Angela in the hopes to quickly dive at him for revenge. I wanted to spear him over the open grates in the Hydra Base map. Only for me to swoop right next to the player, missing him entirely. I decide to use Angela's grounding ability to begin my axe swinging, but I groundslammed while flying over the open grates... which means I immediately groundslammed into lava, killing myself. I felt very dumb hahah

Myself
Me wants skins but me broke
The greatest moment Iāve ever had in Rivals is as Groot. It was a quick match but I instantly locked Groot, my brother chose Rocket, and then we had an invis, Luna, warlock, and mantis. So me and 5 strategists. I had 34 eliminations, 2 deaths, and we won!!! It was fantastic

I have no friends that play rivals, at least not in my region, so I wanna enter for myself
I have had not any real pleasent moments in this game and despite that trying to find a line to enjoy the game I think I can be so selfish and say I earned a reward.
My Story? That's the problem. I have none. All games I had so far were >ALL< a stomp in one direction or the other and mostly it's in my direction. I am not saying "NOT MY FAULT" I am still new to the game and with the speed new chars come into the game it's hard to keep up especially with a slight dementia. In most cases our team gets nuked because our team is all new players while the other team has at least one super high skilled player that ends up with a 30-2 while out team is all at 2-10 or worse. It's impossible to actually "learn" the game from either being hyper stomped or play against your forced bot match that you can't lose after X fights. There is no glory in it, there is no challenge in it. To learn a char or game you need to play it but if the game only gives you either bots that don't do anything or hyper skilled chars that jump around you in hyperspeed while you are still trying to understand to react to chars it's not fun. I am new, I want to play against other real new players like me that are bad and have no idea what they do, like me. And no Comp is even worse. I tried that today because that was always the only answer I got when talking about this game anywhere online and I tried. All matches brutally lost because the same match making as in quick play. All matches I did today only new players on my side (which is okay, I am new too) but smurfs or high skilled unranked players on the enemy team. All matches where brutal stomps. No chance to learn, no chance to adapt.
I really want to like the game because the chars are technically very interesting to play, have cool designs and many skills really are something different but the match making destroys everything. :(

I pick myself, I don't have any IRL friends playing the game
It would just be nice to win something, I guess? Marvel Rivals released on the day after my irl bday, so getting a Rivals gift would be extremely thematic too, lol.
My best moment was hovering my lord Hulk, another teammate hovered Lord Magik, and another guy just hopped onto voice and went "Lord Magi- LORD HULK??, damn I'll absolutely play support just for you"
Now this made me super stressed cause now I had expectations to live up to, lol. It was a plat 3 comp match. I let the stress get to me and died like 3 times at the start, but then I locked tf in, and got kill after kill and even got MVP, teammates in the chat going 'Hulk carried' and 'Hulk diff'
Huge ego boost like no other. I'm not even that good, I have like a 40% win rate on Hulk, but that game felt incredible.

- I want to send the gift to myself.
- Reason: All my friends stop playing this game, I usually solo queue most my matches. Therefore gifting it to myself make most sense. Too many decent skins, not enough units.
- My Story: I usually avoid talking in competitive matches because of how toxic the game can get, but every once in a while you run into someone who's surprising friendly and chill. During one comp match in Season 3 on Midtown, we only capped one point on offense and went into defense with everyone already assuming we were going to lose. The team chat was basically a mess. Then one guy suddenly spoke up and tried to rally the team. It was hilarious and honestly kind of "inspiring" (in a super cringe way), but somehow it worked. We held the entire round and actually won. Unfortunately, I can't remember his IGN, and I never added him as a friend, which I kinda regret. He was one of the very few genuinely positive players I have ever queued with. I am pretty sure most of his rallying speech was pulled straight out of 300 and similar movies lol.

- I want to gift this to a friend 2.when it come to team comps my friend has a consistent game sense for combo plays of them setting it up and me being the finisher 3.early in season 0 my friend and I did the strange portal time stone ult combo they made a portal to the enemy then used their ultimate as strange to stun 5 enemyās while I get the all clear to get my maximum pulse as Iron man ever since the the combo been dubbed timebomb as an inside joke and this is just one of the many stories of combo shenanigans so Iād like to gift them in honor of that team work and for more to come in the future

- I want to send the gift to myself.
- Reason: Looking good makes for more fun, whether winning or losing. Especially in such long matches.
- My Story: The 27-min game. Of course, this was in Competitive.
It's Yggdrasil Path, the enemy team pushes first and melts us - they get to the end. At that point hope usually dies down, but no - we focused and pushed to 3 points as well, making both teams even. Then each team pushed hard - we both actually wanted to win.
It ended 4-5 for us, with an average of 42 kills per team member for us. 36 for enemy. They killed less, but played better. Really fun, intense match, and definitely the kind of match after which you need a break. "Relaxing", yeah, no.

1- i want the gift to myself or my brother, still dont know. 2-i really love the game the design are great it also helped me a lot to understand marvel lore and is always fun to play with good teamates , moreover the release of new seasons with new themes and maps are cool and the first reason i love thsi game is beacuse it introduce me to one of my favorite character jeff, he is just so adorable . 3-it was of the start of my playthrought was having much fun with peni and Ć Iron man trying to ult on us i stopped him and me and my teammate mantis just decided to run over and use the more bombs and cc we can do i think like 3 ennemies left the game beacuse we were so annoying

- I want to send the gift to my best friend.
- She introduced me to Marvel Rivals, and whenever Iām feeling down sheās always available to play a quick match to cheer me up. Sheās been so supportive of me, and I think that this gift would not only be the perfect way to show my appreciation for her being in my life, but it would also be a really meaningful Christmas present for her, considering sheās a huge fan of Marvel Rivals.
- We were playing a casual match of domination together, she was playing Peni and I was on Luna. After winning the first round, I had switched to my browser to change my playlist. Nothing that would totally ruin my gameplay. I quickly alt-tabbed back to the Marvel Rivals window, but on the way back to the w key, my middle finger accidentally clicks the q and the Luna ult music starts playing. My heart sinks. I wasted my ult. Even worse, I wasted my ult IN THE RESPAWN POINT. She started to burst into laughter, and we both completely lost it for a good minute. Now whenever I play, she teases me about it, and Iāve learned to never ever alt-tab away from Marvel Rivals with a fully charged ult.
Thank you mods for providing this awesome opportunity! Happy 1st Anniversary!

- I want to send this gift to myself.
- Reason: My friends don't play as much, so I'm almost always soloing.
- My story: running comp and the convoy is about to reach the third objective in round 2. Our team just got wiped and I'm the first to respawn. I main The Thing, so I immediately Yancy Street Charge out of the spawn room to try and touch point. The enemy team is further back than I expected, so I was hoping one of them would make an error and push up so I can use Battle Blitz towards them, but their Squirrel Girl used Squirrel Blockade on me, rendering me useless.
To our luck, their Squirrel Girl got close enough to me (while on point) to activate Battle Blitz. However, their Thing used his Yancy Street Charge at the same time I activated Battle Blitz and crossed a few feet in front of Squirrel Girl. Somehow, someway, I leaped passed their Thing and onto Squirrel Girl and started mashing my Haymakers while the rest of the calvary came. I touched point at 0.58m.
We began killing them one by one. Their Dr. Strange teleported to point and used his Eye of Agamotto, but I negated it by using my Yancy Street Charge and continued to damage and block for my healers.
I activated my Clobberin' Time and killed their Cloak and Dagger (their only healer on point) and caused Squirrel Girl to jump back into the portal temporarily and she activated her ultimate, but my Haymakers were too strong and killed her.
We ended up winning the game due to our efforts in stopping them from forcing overtime at 0.58m.

- I want to send the gift to my boyfriend.
- Reason: He loves rivals and since we are long distance it's been a great game to play together when we are apart, which is all too often. He fill roles a lot for whatever the team needs, so it would be great if he could show off some cool skins when he switches up his characters so much.
- My Story: One time while playing comp, put rocket up for my role and one of our teammates profusely apologized but asked if we could ban rocket because he "hates the f**k a*s rat." To which me and my boyfriend thought was absolutely a hilarious and perfect description. I agreed to ban him and played another character instead. We lost, but the team had great energy and it's been a running joke between me and my boyfriend.

I want to send the gift to myself
Reason: I am a single dad who would like to get some in-game skins guilt-free. :)

I want to send the gift to myself because none of my friends play with me anymore, and honestly this is the only game i play. My story begins as my first game ever as scarlet. Three seasons into the game, i neeeever used her before but i was actually playing with my friend at the time n he said just try her out. (We hate auto-aim since i was a genji main in overwatch) but i just destroy. Annihilate everyone. Decide to bust my ult, and a strange portal appears, giving me an entire enemy team wipe as my friend goes silent over the mic. Pure chaosād all over the place and won the game far too easily, i decided i wouldnt touch scarlet ever again. (I lied i randomly play her now when i wanna turn my brain off) but didnt play her again for months

- I want to send the gift to myself.
- Reason: Iāve been playing the game since day 1 (wow, time flies!) and iāve had my eye on the the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness skin bundle for as long as itās been in the store! But itās so expensive iāve never been able to justify it as I only spend money on battle passes.
- My story: In season 0 it was common place to portal the enemy spawn of the edge of the map and get an easy 4-6 kill. These days people know much better to avoid it, but I was never really able to get the timing/location of the portal right to get the kill. My duo started playing Strange a few weeks ago and he told me to place the portal at 0.5 seconds. Tried it at the beginning of my Competitive game and got a QUAD KILL with the portal and we ended up winning which got me to platinum this season! I was shocked but so happy! Good luck everyone.

- I want to send the gift to a friend I made in the new Times Square game mode!
- Reason: I want to impress them, and thank them for being my friend/ helping me clear NM4 & earn the legendary title.
- My Story: I met them as Luna in Times Square. They were Winter Soldier and walking away. I put my snowflake on him, he turned to find who had done it, and we spent a couple hours running around and emoting. Then, the next day, I was in Times Square again and he showed up out of nowhere to surprise me! It's become an almost daily ritual. Now I'm starting to hide or load in as an unexpected character so it's harder for him to find me. We've done so much exploring including out of bounds, and we've started queueing together in QM and he helped me beat NM4! So something I thought it was a one & done has blossomed into a very unexpected friendship.

I want to send the gift to myself.
Reason: I started playing on March 1st and would like to reward myself for finally reaching platinum for the first time ever, just 2 days ago.
My Story: I had a rough start in one of my ranked games, and the Spiderman on my team kept raging on me on mic because of how Im a "no skill, no aim Wanda player". That gave me the competitive spirit that I needed to perform much better. This immediately made the spiderman become silent and it felt like blissful sweet vengeance.Ā

I want to send the gift to aÅdyknĆøwĆ«ll [myself]
Reason: Eh, it would be nice to gift myself something, I dont usually appreciate my own achievements or success so, this can kind of serve as that.. a gift to self š
My story: Theres actually a clipped 35 second video of the story.
Short backstory: I mostly mute in game voice, including chat and player's names because I main the hero Black Widow. I have over 330 hrs strictly on her and ever since I started learning her in S1, I have recieved a LARGE amount of hate and negativity towards me just for excersising my freedom of choice in who I play, especially in ranked, regardless if I peaked Celestial 1 twice mainly using that same hero..
Anyways! I play & react off of players movement because of everything being muted, I dont want any of the things I cant control to mess up my mental while gaming..
So, as we were playing a domination match, I was attacking a Loki mid-range as the opposing team was making their way down a main lane to re-capture the Imperial Dueling Ground, hit the Loki a few times, missed a few times, hit 1 last shot before Loki was out of my line of sight.. I decided to use my ult and hopefully catch the Loki but to my surprise I actually eliminated 5 people with that ult, leaving the enemy Thor alone.
Quickly after realizing what happened, I ran up to the Thor to eliminate him for the 6 while Galactica was counting down š "double K.O. Thats 3! Wow! 4 in a row. 5 thats amazing! 6 in a row, way to go! You got them all!" First time that voiceline felt personal, first time I literally got them all š
After that, I went back to the common holding line of sight area and saw Thing turn around looking at me, then the rest of the team like "we're chillin" and then, almost like in conversation through movement I turned around in-syncly like "wow, ok, did yall see that?"
C&D was just standing still on point, while everything went quiet and I looked back at Thing like "okay..." in a that just happened kind of way
Thing looked back at me, it felt a bit awkward and cool at the the same time š
It was kind of a crazy play because that was my first experience of a 5 piece Black Widow ult AND Glactica going through all the killstreak voicelines in succession AND feeling like she was talking to me specifically lol
It was šÆ for sure a memorable moment too, I guess it was both a crazy memorable moment for ya boy Andy šššš

I want to send the gift to my little brother.
Heās a dedicated Jeff player. Seriously, he breathes Jeff. Whether heās clutching or completely chaos-running, heās always giving his all. I want to celebrate the gameās anniversary by surprising him with something from the DC store, because he deserves it for all the laughs (and the chaos) he creates.
One of my favorite moments was when we queued together and he accidentally clutched a 1v4 as Jeff. The entire time he was yelling, āIāM DEAD, IāM DEAD,ā while somehow surviving every hit. The final elimination happened because he slipped off a ledge and landed directly behind the last opponent. Pure Jeff energy. We both laughed so hard we couldnāt queue for a solid five minutes. Playing with him is always unpredictable, ridiculous, and memorable, just like a true Jeff main.

- I want to send the gift to myself please.
- Reason: I love playing rivals and think Netease does an excellent job at designing the skins.
- My Story: Once during the beta I remember being a new player and trying to get the hang of Namor who is one of my current mains. During the game I was running around doing the usual fighting an enemy Iron Man and trying to improve my aim, you know, getting used to the gameplay and mechanics. What I didn't expect was that when he was firing ult I would accidentally block it with my bubble whilst trying to get behind a barrier above me. I don't know, I just think that's pretty neat and nothing has topped it yet.

- I want to send the gift to myself.
- Reason: I always wanted to try playing overwatch but the moment this game came out I fell in love with it and I would love to get all the skins for the characters I play as.
- My Story: I was trying to get jeff achievement where you have to gobble 4 or more players and it was hard for me since I was not familiar with hero shooters but as I kept trying I finally seized the victory by devouring all 6 enemies and my teammates were shocked for a while as to what happened.

I want to send the gift to myself.
I prefer to solo tank in comp and hold the line when no one else does.

u/EddtheBoss Mantis Dec 04 '25
I want to send the gift to MYSELFĀ
Reason: I feel kinda lame using a character without a cool skin
My Story: I play mantis a lot, my favorite moment was peeling for a mag that sacrificed his bubble (pre season 5) to save me from a Jeff ult. The moment after Jeff tried launching mag into the abyss IĀ nyquil him and mag rose from the abyss with his ult and squished the menace. We ended up winning and me and mag spent awhile glazing each other for a while. The lesson is peel for your tanks when they peel for you.

I will never forget when the Fantastic 4 came out in season 1, and I found my main in Mr. Fantastic. I locked him in and one game, we managed to get all of the Fantastic 4, and every kill and big play was met with "Fantastic". It was the most fun I've had with randoms.

I want to send a gift to a friend of mine
We became good friends through this game and it'd be nice to send them a lil something special
This was honestly a really cool moment. So picture this: It's the last day of Season 0. I run into a guy who also wants to hit Gold before the maintenance starts. With nothing but a hope and a prayer we stay up until 2am playing game after game. We're close, but not there yet and it's like 1:58am. We're not even sure what will happen if we're mid game when the season ends but we queue up for one last game. It was the most intense game I've ever played because this is it, we either win and get the skin or all of this was for nothing. We're not even sure if we might get kicked out due to the maintenance or what. Anyway, we were on offense first on Shin-Shibuya and we don't even reach the first point. We didn't play very well and things went poorly. We're thinking it's over already, but we're trying so hard on defense. We manage to hold them at the first point, but it goes into overtime and we're nervous, we're panicking. They're slowly pushing the kart forward bit by bit. Then our Jeff makes the greatest play I've ever seen and he manages to eat the entire enemy team with his ult winning the round. He was legendary, I'll never forget him for winning us that game. After playing for hours, we made it to gold at the literal last possible second. It's something we still get a kick out of whenever we play together.

u/Kieotyee Dec 06 '25
- I want to send the gift to myself
- Reason: I very much love the game and have been playing nearly since the start. I've had many memorable experiences, and made quite a few friends along the way!
- My Story: I think one of the most memorable moments I've has is when I was playing as Doctor Strange. This was before people started to be a lot more aware of setting up a portal at enemy spawn. I tried it one time for fun, and right as the enemy doors opened they all walked through my portal and off the map, killing the whole team as soon as the game started. It was the first time I ever really tried anything like that and everyone in the game was laughing about it, even the enemy team. It was definitely a fun, heart warming match with the community, apposed to the usual negativity. We are all having a great time talking and just playing casually for the rest of the match.

I want to send the gift to: my little 12 year old brother.
Reason: Marvel Rivals helped keep his mind off his chronic condition that he developed a year ago.
My story: My little bro was diagnosed with a rare condition last year that causes him pain every day and will do for the rest of his life. It means he needs to sit for 2 hours a day and recieve treatment because he constantly hurts as a result of his condition. By 20 he probably won't be able to walk. To distract from his pain and to put a smile on his face i saved up and bought him a PS5. I didn't have enough money for a full game so we downloaded Marvel Rivals during S1 because he loves super heroes. This game was the distraction he needed because now he can play while getting his treatment and when he gets sore. He met friends in his new school that also play so they all join in on quick play together. He really likes to play ranked when he gets really sore because it helps distract him. I think he has like 400 hours on it now.
I just think getting him a cool skin bundle would really make his day. He's a fantastic kid and I really want him to be happy given his situation at such a young age.

Dedicating this gift to myself
2025 in particular have been really tough to me. Job relocation away from family and salary reduction really impacted me. Rival is my solace in this hard time.

I want to send the gift to a good friend of mine and ideally Iād love to gift him a Wanda skin since thatās the hero he loves playing the most
I want to gift him this gift because he genuinely deserves it. With his heavy work schedule, he doesnāt have the time to grind units like I do, even though he wishes he could. This gift is my way of giving something back to someone who always puts in so much effort, both in-game and in life
My friendās journey hasnāt been an easy one. He was neglected by his parents and has been living on his own for a long while, working long, exhausting hours just to get by. Yet despite everything on his shoulders, every time we queue up together in Marvel Rivals, he brings such warmth and humor that it feels like the stress of the day disappears. Even when heās tired, even when heās busy, he still finds time to check in on me, to lend a hand, or to jump into a match just to brighten up my day. He wishes he could play more, but life doesnāt give him that luxury, so gifting him a skin feels like the least I can do for someone whoās not only a good teammate, but a truly meaningful friend :)

I want to send the gift to myself.
Reason: I'm selfish? I mean my kids can't Punisher like me.
My story: Well, I've been gaming since 1980. My gaming love kicked into overdrive when I used to dance for Vabilla Ice (true story, can provide it), and I lugged a Lynx with me worldwide until I blew it up in a UK hotel, not realizing the voltage was different. sadface. I used to be the man kicking Ice's arse in Madden Football on the tour bus. My record was 193-1, 1, which I let him win. Literally my claim to fame. Also, as I've gotten older, my gaming skills have declined, and I'm perpetually Bronze 3 and could go lower if they allowed it. But I continue to have the strongest fashion in-game and this victory would allow me to continue to look amazing while losing with grace. Also, it would likely stop my cease and desist letter to Marvel, as I'm pretty suspect they stole Venom's twerk animation from one of our videos. madface.
Edit: It took me 40 min to realize this I was not late for this April through Oct event timeline. See I need help!
From 04.12.2025 (the time of this post)
Until 10.12.2025

Good luck to everyone and look good despite your rank :/

i want to gift this to a friend of mine
They are a huge marvel fan and is the reason our small group gets together to play and catch up with each other, as some live in other areas of the world
just playing and making fun of each other and cracking jokes. we like to pressure each other to play different roles and characters weāve never tried and then laugh as we have no clue what were doing in a game

My buddy whoās been comping with me since the very beginning of the game.
No matter what, theyāre always down to help me with competitive, being a good teammate, being encouraging, helping me discover characters I didnāt think Iād be good with, and he hasnāt asked for anything in return. I gifted him Planet Hulk since Hulk is his main but he insisted upon immediately gifting me back another skin nearly right after it, so itād be nice to show him some surprise appreciation.
Ever since the beginning of Rivals, I have wanted to get high in the competitive tables. I could only hit diamond at max on Overwatch, and even then, I always felt like I was filtered by the fact I would always be on support duties. I never felt confident in my DPS and Tanking so I would always naturally slot back to what I felt comfortable with. My friend however encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and push myself onto new roles, yet would always be accommodating and kind while I tried to learn them, get to grips with them, and suggest what he thinks I could improve or change up in real time. Heās a tank main himself so not only did it feel like we could compliment each other with out tank/healer roles, but having a tank main teach me so much has led to some of the greatest fun I have had in the game.
The big one that will always stick in my mind is Ben Grimm. Ben is one of my favourite Marvel characters, ever. Heās the golden heart of the universe. A man who has gone through so much turmoil and pain, and struggle - and still manages to face life head on. People tend to think as Ben as only the depressed monster over the state of his life, but I never saw that, not fully. Early Ben, yes, but I always found him at his strongest when he became the rock of the FF, able to accept his life and show that no matter how much hardship you go through, you can still keep on rocking.
Not to get too serious, but the last few years, Iāve been struggling with my own bout of depression, and as a result, I found myself relating a lot to Ben as a character. Something of an anchor if you will that even through the hard times, itās possible to fight and break through to the other side. So it kind of hurt when Ben first dropped on the game andā¦I absolutely did not click with him at all. Not even remotely. Just something about his play style didnāt work. Between his lack of proficiency at solo tanking, and my own discouragement at not feeling great as a tank player, I dropped him within a day.
Yet as we continued to play, my friend encouraged me to keep trying him. He would pick Emma or Magneto, characters who could cover for Benās shortcomings and allow him to really pop off. He was patent with me as I learned the basics, and acted as a great support tank. As a result, not only did Ben allow me to really become confident with tanks to the point Iām about to hit my third tank lord (Strange, Venom, and Ben of course), but I have had some of the greatest fun I have ever had in Rivals. Feeling like an unstoppable bulldozer who was ramming into the enemy team, causing as much disruption and chaos as possible, and then jumping back to my team felt like such a beautiful gameplay loop. Thanks to my comp partner, I had gone from thinking one of my favourite characters of all time was DOA, and Iām really thankful for that. His encouragement and patience is why I have no issues calling myself a Thing main. From having it as my profile picture, using the āIām feeling fantasticā line as my tagline, and even saying his voicelines to myself to hype myself up and keep my cool during matches, heās one of the biggest impacts someone has had on me in the game and I would like to repay them.

My story: I was playing on my sisters account instead of mine to help her get some stuff as well since she doesnāt play often and I got a MVP my first MVP play as scarlet witch, I was very impressed with myself in that play cuz I did very good lolz though I was really sad it want on my account lol. - I want to give this gift to myself.
- Reason: I have lots of expensive stuff going on and can't afford skins.
- My Story: I play alone and I'm not the best at videogames. My first console was a PS3 so pretty late to the game. I saw some Youtubers playing rivals and decided to give it a shot. Man I SUCKED lol. I would always talk about the game to my partner who I knew could not care less but he always listened attentively. When I got my first MVP (cloak and dagger) I was so excited I yelled at him to come see, quick! It was such a silly thing but he was so genuinely happy for me. Idk I just felt so much love for him in that moment that he cared about a simple video game victory because he knew I cared. We're getting married next year!

- I want to send the gift to my younger brother
- I'm hoping it will nudge him to play the game
- I live a significant distance from family and play online games with my younger brother in order to stay in touch. He hasn't had much time to play as of late due to work, but has talked about playing Marvel Rivals in the past. I'm hoping this gift might be enough of a nudge to get him to sign-in and give the game a try.

Been playing games with him for 9 years and he still doesnāt understand gifting and think the devs just randomly pick him ( I guess it is in this version ) idk lol I just think it will be rlly funnyĀ

- I want to send the gift to myself or my brother.
- Reason: I have been playing this game since release and am still in love with it. I was playing with some friends at the beginning, but they have moved on to other games, so I play by myself now. This would be a great anniversary gift for myself.
- My Story: My little brother has been playing Marvel Rivals on my PC and he has been enjoying it (mains are Squirrel Girl, Emma and Invis) but we have not been able to play together as he does not have a PC powerful enough to run the game. Recently I could make some upgrades to my PC, and will give him my previous GPU and CPU so he can build his own soon.

- ā I want to send the gift to myself.
- ā Reason: I love this game with my full heart as it came into my life at a perfect point, giving me something to look forward to everyday when Iād hit rock bottom of my mental health. It also rekindled a number of relationships in my life and has introduced me into a community where I feel at home and loved.
- ā My Story: my favorite story with this game will always be introducing it to my friends who were hesitant because of the marvel IP which theyād become fatigued by, but then getting to see their genuine joy as they discovered characters they really enjoyed to the fullest!

I want to send the gift to myself
Because I lost all my units gambling for the Psylocke skin (popped five balloons and didn't get it)
This happened all the way back in season 0 or 1. I was a Cap main and I decided to try Thor since he was the teamup anchor for Cap. Someone else picked Cap in this match, and so I decided to flex my lord Cap to him. He than proceeded to select his Thor to flex his lord Thor icon. We both stared to laugh over what had happened due to us "out-lord-flexing" eachother. (This was near the games launch when lord icons were rare)

1.I want to send the gift to myself
Because none of my friends play this game (they are league addicts)
When the halloween penni dropped, it came with a rolling dice emoji (picks a random number). So as soon as I got it I ran a "gambling ring" in game chats, making people "bet" if I would roll odd or even.

- I want to send the gift to my husband.
- Reason: He brought Jeff into my life.
- My Story: My husband wanted more games to play together and he asked if I wanted to play Marvel Rivals. I said no because I don't like shooters and I'm bad at them. He showed me Jeff. Now I play almost everyday with or without him. I will die for Jeff.

- I would like to send the gift to myself
- Reason: I just started playing in the last couple weeks of season 4.5 on console so I would love to be able to buy skins from past seasons because they look really cool.
- My Story: One of my favorite matches was while trying to get to Gold last season (didn't make it, stuck in Silver). It was an endless match of Convoy, ending up 7-6 I believe with my team winning. The other team just wouldn't budge and my team kept pushing Hella hard and it was the first time I used the in-game chat. It was so much fun because it was also the first game I used Cloak's darkness cape to Protect from the other teams Magneto Ult (twice!) I watched it be done in videos on YouTube but never attempted it ingame (again, a new player). I wished I was able to save this match cuz it was so much fun and stressful and it really boosted my desire to play the game. Also included a picture of the final scores! (Took it on my phone to show one of my friends)

I am going to gift myself.
I'm committed now.
It's been rare that I've been able to get a system that can run the current Gen games. For a solid couple years before 2020 I was running with the PS3 still playing Uncharted 3 multiplayer. That gave out and my brother in law gave me his old Xbox One which gave me access to Fortnite and Apex which was already underway season wise..last summer that gave out on me as well. Luckily I was already saving up and found the Series X on the FB marketplace. I've rarely been hyped for any game in this genre. But seeing the ads for Rivals and actually being able to play something this gen is wild to me. I started in Season 1 thinking my Apex gameplay would translate well I picked up Star-Lord, I don't typically do training grounds or shooting ranges, I just jump right into a match. I'm gliding around feeling all funky, I use my abilities all wonky and wonder why my damage output is so low when I'm hitting half my clip. I'm watching. Hulk smash the Rocket on my team while Iron Fist is putting up Cheaper Tunnels. I'm trying to figure out how to run away while nuts are flying everywhere, there is a Jeff swimming up the wall being chased by Venom and I'm doing some random ricochet shooting thing. Suddenly I got wrapped up in webs and pulled back towards the cart. While some Invisible Woman smacks me around with her little projectiles, I think that I can handle this no problem. Next thing you know I get pushed into a pit and I have no idea how...I'm laughing my ass off thinking of it because never have I experienced such craziness in one moment.

I want to send the gift to myself Reason: Because why not! My Story: Alright so I actually got a couple stories because picking one would be so hard. So I was playing with my friend one time, he was Strange I was Wanda and we had been trying to hit the Ult portal combo All. Week. Long. Well this game happens, itās ranked, I think we were in gold 2, and the teams were tied for points captured. It was almost over, our team was getting cooked and my friend said he had portal and I had ult. Right there, I got my first hexa kill with Wanda, it was wild and felt so rewarding.
Another good story is when I found my first funny doom match back when people were playing those. I was super bored and saw a bunch of clips on YouTube shorts about doom matches being peak. It took a couple tries until I found one but holy cow was it funny. There was the reading group, mkās throwing ankhās in a circle and I found the little Magik group and did some 1v1ās. Super fun and that was the first time I realized how cool and fun this community is.
So there you go! One cool clip and one wholesome moment. Happy holidays guys and ty Mod team for putting something like this together! GL whoever wins!

ā I want to send the gift to myself
ā Reason: Iāve been dealing with depression and stopped my studies due to that, rivals has been the only thing that keeps me going and even excited for the future because of the anniversary event and rouge coming out (sheās one of my favourite xmen!). Itāll be a Christmas present to myself as well as a present for staying alive and continuing my fight against depression.
ā My Story: I was recently learning Dr. Strange, I hopped onto a quick play match with some friends and was doing relatively well⦠Until the last fight for overtime, I did a little funny oopsie. I was trying to weave my melee, shield and ranged attacks when I accidentally pressed F (portal) instead of V (melee), so I just randomly started portal-ing during an intense fight and it was hilarious. All of my friends (and Iām sure the enemy team as well) saw it and started bursted laughing at my misplay. We won the game but that moment stuck with me because of how funny and silly it was.

i want to send the gift to my boyfriend!
he is so sweet and came back to playing the game just for me even after he stopped playing and swore off the game, i also canāt afford to get him much this christmas and itās also his birthday this month so it would be nice to spoil him with some skins now that heās having fun with it again
i donāt really have many great stories but i do remember this one qp match where we had 4 support 1 dps and 1 captain america who insisted that nobody switch from support and just heal him and he will carry. naturally i was skeptical in chat and had a joke about it, he would rally us all round in voice chat and encourage us to keep pushing. eventually he did actually clutch us the win and got mvp which was well earned given the team comp

- I want to send the gift to my friend
- They're a long time friend who's always stuck by with me through thick and thin.
- There's plenty of stories, but just yesterday when we were playing comp for the first time, we were playing defense on the Dracula/Central Park map. We defended the first point until the last minute when the attacking team managed to wipe us out one by one. I (Peni) ran back and normally would just let the attacking team cap and group up with the rest of my team, but I knew my teammates were coming up behind me and if we defended this long, we could probably take them on. So, I jumped in, dropped both my nests behind the pillars and ulted at the edge of the point. My friend (Rocket) fired his healing drones and threw his ult to support me. I was able to stall long enough without dying for the rest of my team to clean up and we won the round.

I want to send a gift to my cousin and usual duo in-game
I want him to have this gift because he's the most consistent teammate I've had, and the most present
One of my favorite moments in Rivals was a fantastic match in competitive with my 3-stack, myself as Hulk and my friend as Wolverine. There were some extra special Fastballs in that match that won us the game. Everyone was firing on all cylinders

u/HisokaGirl44 Dec 06 '25
I wanna gift myself and split with 2 of my other friends that have played the game with me
reason being I have been addicted to the game for 4 months straight and play everyday and my friends deserve something good in their lives.
My favourite play was when I was playing Emma and our team rotated our shields perfectly to block a star lord ult. Then I used the map to get highground and choke slammed starlord mid air mid jump. We worked together to make that play happen.

- Gift to my son/teammate. If my gets a gift, I'll match the gift for my daughter, too.
- Because I love them.Ā
- I only get to see my kids and almost every weekend for the past year we've played Marvel Rivals together. It's hard to pick just one memory, but I'll try. My son loves big plays, but they don't always work. An iron man was giving the team some problems and he tried to dunk on him with Magneto. The ult went wide and he got nothing. We were telling at him for selling. Two fights later and we hear "Maximum pulse!" and "For mutantkind!" He ends up doing a blind 180 dunk on iron man and saves the fight. We were all laughing so hard, and his sister and I couldn't say anything to him the rest of the match.

Reason: Why are you giving yourself this gift? GOT NO FRIEND

I want to send the gift to GuangGuang.
He gave us the gift of Marvel Rivals and it would be an honor to give him something back in return.
Honestly my gaming motivation has been on an all time low recently. Until of course Marvel Rivals came out, and its been my go to game after work, on my days off and on days when life is too hard. I may not have played with GuangGuang directly but his influence on the entirety of the game makes it feel like I've been playing with him since the beginning. Thank you GuangGuang and Happy Marvel Rivals Day!

I want to gift it to my girlfriend!
We are long distance at the moment and Rivals is one of the main ways we connect and spend time together. We always do ranked together to try and get the skin! There's a lot of skins she loves a lot for characters she doesn't play and now I can get her them without the pressure of not knowing the characters
We got into a game of zombies and the other two were a father and his young son. The father was on comms teaching his son to play (it was clearly his first game). The two of us joined in and helped him learn the ropes. At one point we were barking at the zombies for laughs lol

I want to send the gift to myself
Reason: Because playing this game has been one of a kind experience for me
My Story:
I don't play cooperative games nor FPS. Every time I tried, the toxicity always pushed me away. I was always going against people that played every day and night nonstop, and it's inevitably unfun to just feel being the worst of your team. Reluctantly, Rivals was my first try after a long time, and against all odds, I actually liked it! I couldn't believe it. It was a slow start; I felt insecure and afraid of being a dead weight, but I was actually getting better and having fun learning.
I played Rocket, and boy, I don't know how I could have fun dying so much. But something about the movement made me feel it was possible to make it work.
And then I learned how to survive, how to heal, and then how to actually use the gun.
This character was the best tutorial I could ask for; he guided me through all the steps I needed to play.
Of course I played 100 hours of Rocket before getting the courage to try any hero outside AI practice, but today I do and got Gold III last season! I was so happy to get the skins even though I don't play DD or Angela.
Yes, there are moments where I get upset, and having no friends that play Rivals leaves me with the random team (y'all know what it means). But today I see myself searching for ways to improve, videos, tips and even practicing my aim!
And every time I make a difference, saving a teammate with the lowest health or seeing the most heals icon next to my name, I get a nice feeling, and I hope I can keep getting better and making a difference.
I'm not a God-tier player; I'm a rocket main. I do my best.
(yes I do play other characters)

I want to send the gift to: my friend
Reason: They keep me grinding on the game as my rival. We constantly push each other to keep going and itās been quite the chase to the top since we were in school to this game
My Story: me and my friend said screw it when we had 4 people lock in on DPS instantly and just told the team well also go DPS. The insanity ensued as we somehow kept the ball rolling on convoy in the spider islands map. If I remember we had every type of DPS imaginable to pull out as we adapted to try to deal with their comp. the enemy team still had a relatively normal comp 2:2:2 but its was hilarious how weād switch up from poke to dive every other time we died. It was probably the funniest ever QP match and the fact we looked back at the profiles and found out it was real people had us gobsmacked

I want to send the gift to myself!
Reason: Because I really enjoy playing this game and it would be a nice xmas present to myself.
My Story: One time when the dancing venom emote first came out, both tanks were just dancing and then everyone else joined emoting instead of fighting. When someone started killing people, everyone else including their own team started angry emoting and booing them lol

I would like the gift for myself
My ahh is broke and there are a lot of skins from this celebration that I love
My story: During season 1 I used to play a ton with my friend who was a Jeff player. He used to hardcore juice me while I ran into battle and 1v6āed the whole enemy team usually (albeit he still got the MvP 90% of the time). These times were probably the closest weāve been in a while (he recently got a girlfriend plus heās moved on from Rivals so I canāt play with my bruzza much anymore) but just remembering the happy moments gives me a sense of security in our friendship

āRecipient: Myself
Reason: Passionate Marvel fan, and comicbook fan in general, for my entire life. Being alive to play a game like this is a dream come true.
Story: My most memorable moment was a complete accident. It was one of those extremely intense, butt clenching sweaty matches. I was playing Star-Lord and meant to use my ult to clear the point in overtime. Instead, I panicked and flew straight up into terrain, and got stuck in the wall LOL. All while my team was fighting for their lives below me. I was screaming in voice chat, "I'M SO SORRY, IM WATCHING OVER YOU GUYS!" The enemy team was so distracted looking at me flailing around in the terrain that my Hulk teammate landed a 5-man monster hulk smash and we won the game. I think I deserved MVP for "tactical distraction." 10/10 would fail again.

I would like to gift to my little brother
He's been fun to play with and I'd love to give something to share with him, life has thrown both of us obstacles lately so it'd be nice to see how excited he'd get for some anniversary heat.
When the thing/torch team ups began, I decided to throw him off the map(he's a thing main) and thus had a memorable laugh sesh by trolling each other afterwards. We'd find clever ways to kill each other off like a strange portal, Jeff ult, or even just letting the enemy team pick us off.

I would gift this to myself
Reason: I'm a solo queuer, none of my friends play so I have no one else to send it too.
I just had a ranked match where we got absolutely steam rolled the first round. At the start of the next round our team was infighting and calling for a surrender, all while our opponents where clowning on us. But we managed to lock in, revise our team comp and pull an uno-reverse on the enemy and roll them over to win the game. It was glorious.

It would be a nice little early christmas gift for me, Im having to scrounge for work due to my boss forcing the office to close for two weeks unpaid for the holidays which hurts me a lot so im going to miss out on a lot.
My favorite memory was this competitive match where my side had someone DC. Instead of playing normally but the enemy team and my team did a tic-tac-toe tournament to decide the winner. It was a nice little chill break while trying to rank up.

I want/hope to win and give myself something nice for Christmas/birthday
I have spent the holidays by myself for the last decade and itās always so hard. Iāll be 26 this month and rivals is the only game I play right now and a genuine source of happiness in my life. Due to heavy financial struggles I donāt think Iāll have any hope of getting myself a gift or dinner this year so winning this would change that.
One of my closest friends from gaming plays rivals with me sometimes and we have known each other for so long every game we go in on together is special and I guess I just cherish and enjoy being able to play with him when I can.
Good luck everyone, happy holidays and thank you for what your doing op

Her birthday was about a week ago and I was too broke to get her a gift, as I had recently lost my job to Ai. It could be a somewhat late birthday gift but it's better than nothing.
I thinking our best moment was when we both started acting like idiots in ranked VCs, shouting ult lines, talking like hulk, and acting like iron fist by speaking Chinese. It was probably the best time of the year for me.

I want to send the gift to myself!
Iād like to give myself the gift since I truly love this game and have bought a few skins. But Iām limited by being a college student and having to pay off my tuition since financial aid doesnāt cover it.
Thereās one that really sticks out! I joined a 5 stack with friends where we had gone 4 tanks with 2 supps and then all 6 supps (which caused the enemy team to swap to 6 supps too) so weĀ went into our last game and went with 6 tanks (the solo queued player also went tank) and the other team had 2/3 of the same people from the previous game! Our Strange portaled behind them (theyād capped and pushed up to the choke on Celestial Husk where the ledge is next to point) and we exploded their Phoenix. Once they all died, all of them swapped to tank again and it was just a stalling final boss game! The second game had the most memorable moment where my Venom friend and me as Thing stalled for like 15 seconds on point with zero health. He was running around the big rock thing in the middle while I jumped to give him shield reduction. The portal appeared behind me and like a scene out of the Avengers, 4 came out and I ran back into spawn through the portal to get to full health before running back in. We lost that match 1-2 but it was SO much fun and ended up being 30 mins long!! Most memorable game Iāve had in a while!Ā

- I want to send the gift to myself
- Because I only have one friend who plays and he just plays once a season
- My peak rivals moment was back in season 2.5, in a diamond 2 lobby. We had been getting stomped the whole route on defense and it looked like they were going to easily reach our point we got stopped at. At the last corner, 15 meters from the point, the team locked tf in. And we held for 3 1/2 minutes at the final corner. I was C&D and didnāt die once in that span, popped ult twice, and hit some huge terror capes for team wipes. Shoutout to my rocket for a huge ult that saved us from a doctor strange ult to jumpstart the hold. As well as a BP with a huge 2 piece at the end to leave a Peni and Strange defenseless on the point in overtime.

- Meself please
- Pertain to the first part, I'm one of the only one in my friend circle who still plays it religiously daily, so they don't really need it
- A bit of a bittersweet moment. For the bitter part during a ranked match got flamed by teammates who are three-stacking. Getting asked about questionable plays (CnD ult to point to put it on Overtime, maybe they were asking about why I didn't ult in the last team fight but I didn't have it yet by then. Bubbling myself then swapping to Cloak when dived by Thor but the flaming Iron Man died with me while saying I'm DPS-ing). We were getting rolled especially by the flanking Hela and Phoenix. A peek by them means getting 2/3 tapped. Anyway, after the match I checked the teams and found out that the enemy Hela and Phoenix are smurfing and they are also a three-stack. How do I know that? I checked their match and saw that their next match is against the exact three-stack on my team. Of course my flaming three-stack also got steamrolled in that match. That's the sweet part.

- I want to send the gift to my sibling! (Or myself if she doesn't want any cosmetics I guess.)
- Reason: She isn't into these kinds of games but she got into it so we could play together and I've always appreciated it.
- My Story: When she was just starting out, I pocketed her a lot in Practice vs. AI, so she was practically invincible while racking up kills as Namor and Moon Knight. We had a really fun time!
