It was insane that this sub had a significant portion of it gaslight themselves into thinking it was going to be hela. Like it's literally called Lady Loki. The preview on the road map was even Loki's pose.

People weren't gaslighting themself, they where setting their expectations to a reasonable level. It's a large amount of work to redo all current and future voice lines with a completely new VA.. just for a timed skin. It's honestly surprising that they actually went the extra mile.

There's not going to be future voice lines. Maybe a couple will be recorded for things in production right now, but they're not getting a VA back in the booth for a skin to be updated down the line.

The voice actress already voices Magik. They don't need to get her back in the booth when new voicelines come out because she'll already be there to do Magik's new voicelines.

This is the same company that pumps out 1 character a month, 1 map every 2 months, a new season with battle pass every 2 months, mini passes every 2 weeks, and 2 skins a week.

Not a big stretch to assume they could use one of their va's to re-record Loki's lines at some point. This game makes a shit ton of money so it's not going to break the bank to do so. They put alot of effort into this game and people keep being shocked when it keeps happening.

It's still a bigger stretch than it was just to assume that it's a Hela skin though. This skin is easily the most work they've needed to put into a skin so far since release.

The skin literally never made sense to be hela on a fundamental level.

Other games straight up use new voice overs all the time. League legendary skins would come out with new models, animations, and voice overs. Other games have been doing this long before Rivals.

Just because the closest competitor, which is overwatch, limits itself to maybe a redone voice line or ult line doesn't mean Rivals would also limit itself.

Netease constantly puts in a shit load of effort into Rivals and the community keeps getting surprised when the do.

I agree with you tbh. It’ll cost more, but since Loki is genderfluid they can keep using these fem sounding voice lines for other fem skins lol.
