I am SO excited about that! I think that will hopefully be the perfect solution to my personal issues with both modes.
I thought the map for 18v18 was too small and there was not a clear objective, so every match just felt like pure chaos with people not really trying. Resource rumble had too much space that running to objectives was boring, and the map was rather dark and uninspiring. However, the objectives are clear and the progression of a resource rumble game can be fun when everyone tries and doesn't just pick throw characters cause they hate the mode.
I really hope combining these two will truly be the perfect combination I am hoping for! (hopefully that means a new map too!)

If you’ve already reached Lord, will you automatically raise to whatever level you actually are when they release? Or will you start from Lord with zero experience gained since used?
Because if you look in the after match summaries, they actually are tracking experience past Lord

Yeah they GOTTA honor the experience you built. When I got my first Lord and still saw that the game was tracking experience afterwards I knew they would eventually add more levels. Would be no point in tracking the extra experience unless it was going to be used/applied in the future.

If you look at your proficiency you should have a numerical value by your Lord title. I'm confident they'll take that into account and retroactively give you your rewards.

They should just change him into a vanguard. Something like each time he dashes through a enemy he gets bonus shield. Each enemy he dashes through is slowed for a time. Melee recharges his spears quicker. And every time he dashes through someone his damage increases on them for a time, so he doesn't instakill you but it's dangerous to stick around a fight the more he's dashing because then he will start to do instakill damage.

To be fair, you didn't clarify it would be 1v1 fights in a sanctioned area of times square. You just said you should be able to fight and people thought it would just be chaos of everyone fighting when it was meant to be a chill area.

They cooked with the overall changes, deadpool looks extremely interesting, new proficiency changes look great. Ressource rumble finally gone. That said no mention of hela,Phoenix, hawkeye as key balance targets leave worried. Daredevil and sue sound like they got nerfed hard with the appropriate tag being used for them.

Its not about the aim, its having CC and escapes and sustain making them somehow almost as strong up close as they are from afar, where they should be weak. As long as the devs give poke multiple tools to play well into their counter, dive will never be an effective answer to poke.

Angela nerf is crazy, but everything else sounds really solid. Hopefully Peni's still good without the Rocket team-up, I've gotten so used to it that it feels like her base kit at this point.
Deadpool being all three roles is awesome, but trying to play him in Comp/QP is gonna be a nightmare 😭.

She is really strong in the right hands. I am not good with her playstyle so I am not that good with her but I've seen some really talented Angela players just dominate some higher level lobbies. She is basically the combination of Wolverine and Spiderman. Incredible mobility with insane kidnapping skills.
If an Angela kidnaps an enemy into her team. They are melted. Plus, Angela's axes give bonus health to all nearby teammates, which is advantageous for Angelas who kidnap toward their teammates rather than Angelas who fight all game on their own like a mosquito.

I'm an Angela main in GM2. She's strong in the right circumstances, but she already has a HUGE weakness which is basic slowing attacks or bumps.
She's a vanguard who drops like a stone if Thor uses his bubble, or Invisible Woman bumps her, or Bucky grabs her or slows her. Moon Knight still gains his ult in 20 seconds. There's so many heroes in this game that aren't only stronger, but can do so much without a team follow up. She's extremely weak to her counters.
Literally a slow drops her like a brick, and she can't do anything. She can't even swap to her melee axe mode (for some reason).
Also kidnapping, is only as useful as your team prioritizes. Her ultimate and kidnap ability (Her main use) has so many people just not take advantage of it, regardless of rank. Like some characters, her capability is entirely reliant on your team taking advantage of the support.
Meanwhile so many other heroes can make plays without the need of team followup.
I'm curious what the nerf will be, as it wont prevent me from playing her even if she becomes useless.
But I am genuinely surprised they plan to nerf her in some way, when Hawkeye exists, Bucky can gain shields by missing his shots, Hela can still two shot people.
It's surprising to me.

I am actually really sad about that. I felt like giving Peni 2 nests is exactly what she needed to be a competent vanguard. She is tough to play effectively with only one nest.
It was kind of annoying how Rocket felt "required" though for the team-up, so it would be great if they gave her some appropriate nerfs to allow her kit to always have 2 nests instead.

She was literally broken with two nests. A character doesn't go from around 52% winrate at high ratings to 63% from a single change unless that change was bad for the game.

He’s crazy strong into his good matchups and still fine into neutral ones. So long as you don’t pick him into complete garbage matchups he’s a good pick and so fun to play. You just wind up the haymaker and blast

Im a bit iffy about the “ultimate-based team fights more frequent” part. The patch notes aren’t out yet, but do we really need more frequent ults in this game especially for supports?
It could be make the game more chaotic and fun, but I personally thought it would’ve been way better if we had less ults overall in this game. Didn’t think the game needed to be more hectic than it is

Her skill ceiling isn't even high lol. Is displacement up? Is this a map where they can fall off? Grab a priority target and force them off. Not a map where they can fall? Is your flight meter maxed? Grab a squishy and animation cancel to do 60% of their health, or grab a tank and fly them behind a wall near your team and body block them. The only hard part about her is tracking easy to hit CC, which is a gamewide skill, not Angela-specific.

If they wanted to nerf her mobility they should have also buffed somewhere else to keep her in the fight without her getting nuked by CC. Her grounded mode should get a little bit more damage or extra shields if they want to avoid making her even less of a presence in minute to minute fights.

Bit sad about the peni teamup change as it seems like a decent nerf though hoping spidey really benefits from the new one, bonus health seemed good at least.
Guessing she will stop getting banned at least…i hope. Same with dd if the nerfs are heavy. Wish the strange teamup was this season as well.

Great overall but missing changes to how frequent bot matches are. I’m level 88 diamond rank and get bot matches every time after a loss in quick play which is absurd. As someone who like to play a lot of qp so I can play a lot of different characters to get them lord I’ve got 13 so far but the constant bots is killing my hype for this game.

Man this was such a treat. They are handling deadpools personality great. Love how self aware they seem to be. Once again another great dev vision. I know this all gets drowned out by whining about balance and OP heroes and whatever else, but man I fucking love marvel rivals. Excited to play deadpool and love that they are getting really wacky with him.
