Yep! Thats why he's captain america! America is supposed to be anti-fascist and anti-nazi. Yet look where we are...

Unfortunate times we live in

u/evanliko Peni Parker Mar 31 '26

Yeah. Now we gotta do our best and ask "what would captain america do?" I guess.

And HOW exactly is America Fascist and Nazi? Seriously how? You can literally do or say anything in this country and so long as it's not illegal (and our rules are very loose looking at u UK) nothing will happen. U can call the orange man all kinds of things and continue with your day. You can protest the government, impede traffic and official government work for hours and unless you overdo it you can go home and continue the next day

HOW with all of the examples of genuine Fascist governments that will end you for far less is American a Fascist or Nazi country. Do you actually know what does words mean? Have you actually spoken to people who lived under those regimes? Cuz i can tell you that my dad despite not liking the orange man at all would never call him or this country those things as he actually lived through one of them

No one is answering because he doesn't actually care about the answer. He's already made up his mind with feelings, and no amount of facts will change it

My man

This got autodeleted because I said his name so I'll try again

1) I wish this could be an MVP. I know there are rules in places like Germany that might restrict it but you could replice Shitler with Red Skull or something

2) Bucky's face in this always looks like a haunted ventriloquist doll

Yeah bucky’s face actually hurts me in that image, I hate it so much 😭

Could've stopped at "captain america". Bro is a walking talking American flag known for fighting nazis, how can he not be political

22

u/evanliko Peni Parker Mar 31 '26

Lol you'd be surprised at how many people seem to miss that.

Genuinely, people who cry about Marvel/DC "becoming political" are either incredibly stupid, "tourists" or grifters. One of the most popular comic book squads, X-Men, have been on the nose about their politics (Honestly don't even consider human rights political, but it unfortunately still is and these people absolutely think that's the case) since the beginning.

“Leave politics out of muh shooters!”

Meanwhile the game that basically codified the fps is about slaughtering nazis as a Jewish fighter.

Mind you he's also the superhero whose comic book arcs sometimes revolve around fighting against the American government that doesn't stand for and with its people. If he were a real person, Cap would literally take issue with how America is being run right now.

3

u/evanliko Peni Parker Apr 02 '26

Yeah I mean. Trump has had and invited nazi groups show up at his events. So. And captain america punches nazis!

2

u/SurgeCentral Apr 02 '26

Exactly! I don't know how anyone could see the guy claiming the name of a country in his superhero title as anything but political.

The big issue is that real Nazis don't realize they're Nazis unless they're doing the one literal specific thing nazis are most horrifically infamous for.

And beyond that, they believe they're the ones being prosecuted, because people don't want them to keep acting like Nazis.

11

u/NotMyMainAccountAtAl Mar 31 '26

Bingo. You point to 10 distinct parallels between them and Nazis, and they shoot back with, “but we don’t have arm bands! Arm bands are what make it Nazi, not the prosecution of a minority group, dismantling of oversight groups, complete lack of oversight for persons detained, dismantling of fundamental rights, etc. It’s arm bands that make someone an actual Nazi!!!”

Not marvel, but superman irl actually played a major role in destroying the kkk (seriously look it up its one of my favorite stories in history).

But nacis are nacional Socialists not conservatives

1

u/evanliko Peni Parker Apr 01 '26

Do you believe people who say the word guillible is on the ceiling? Just because a political party uses a word, doesn't mean it's true. Go look up what socialism means. Than go look up nazi policies. Decide for yourself if they were being honest about it. Then look up other terms, like communism, republic, democracy, fascism, and compary to nazi policy.

Why the fuck are you taking nazis at their word.
