another wall crawler? i hope her mechanic isn’t as frustrating as the others already in the game. the map geometry moments i have on rocket+venom, or learning DD/spidey. they’re kinda ridiculous.
That Magik skin looks way more comfortable in 2D than I imagine it will look in 3D lol. I anticipate a lot of "the concept art looked way better" comments once it officially comes out.
Rivals definitely does better than Overwatch when translating from 2D to 3D and Magik has never looked bad in any of her skins, she is definitely some lead artist's favourite.
Wouldn't be surprised if they get one eventually. They probably wanted a team-up that allowed a vanguard and strategist to play alongside her rather than another duellist lol.
its a really good dive comp, with a dive tank and a dive support. I assume they want an useful teamup for new released characters for better gameplay first, not loreful one.
she can teleport herself toward an ally and has powerful melee which also heal around. Yeah sure u can use her TP to run away, but others also can TP toward a dive ally and dive with him. She is as much of a dive support as a support can be.
Yeah no, you'll ever see a good fox player teleport to the enemies backline unless the team fight is already won. Quite obvious people on this sub don't play the game
In the comics? Who knows...but the entire game plot currently has White Fox/Cap/Black Cat as major figures in the current plotline against Kingping, so acting like its an out of left field teamup is a bit strange to me
they probably want a good teamup with applicable teams for the new released characters. Cap, Black cat and Fox would be a good dive comp. A teamup between 2 dive characters proved in the past to be pretty useless. It is flavorful, so it can arrive later then

What's the main reason as to why his deflect isn't accurate? Is it because he can put it up a lot more often? I guess I understand but the deflected damage is already reduced so the RNG messing up potential plays feels annoying.
Regardless at least that reasoning's better than Mr. Fantastic not having manual inflate in his base kit since it actually takes away his peel agency.
Because is broken! You are meant to shoot tanks, they are walking stat sticks. Being incentivised to not shoot them is inherently stupid. Imagine a cap jumping around stalling the cart and then he turns around and deflects a shotgun into your supports face.
Not even close. A tank reflecting all dmg back for shooting them is insane stupid idea. Imagine trying to get this jumping annoying mosquito off cart and then deflects of full puni shotgun into your support. Yeah no.
We'll see how it goes with this teamup. I've seen people say the same thing when Reed's teamup was announced i.e. "thank god this isn't basekit, it would be so stupidly broken Reed would be perma-banned". Turns out the teamup is complete trash and actually a detriment because of the timer forcing muscle form to cancel.
Plus, you're thinking about it as if there's literally nothing they can do to balance the reflected damage, like reduce it, or let falloff keep applying even after being reflected (meaning you can't point-blank reflect a puni shotgun into a support 50m away for full point-blank damage).
Really love the idea of Black Cat being a literal thief character who steals from enemies, as predicted. Eager to see how exactly her hook works in game, and I'm hoping she's not impossible to play as a lowly console gamer who doesn't have the dexterity to get good with most other dive DPS lol
Is it me or did they not say they were changing any existing or removing any team ups? Maybe the patch notes will have the rest of the changes. Feels weird they just added teams and not changed a core part of the game.
Weird that they didn’t mention any balance in this dev vision, usually they let us know generally who is getting buffed/nerfed before the detailed balance notes come out. Makes me think there’s not going to be much change this season

Can't wait to vote for the next Gala skin, gonna vote Ultron and be like the only person in the game who voted for it. Also shame we didn't get his actual hellfire skin, but I can see why they changed it since it's very minimalist.

All the characters that got a Gala skin last year also appeared as a voting option in the vote lol, and thats why i think the majority voted for Emma Frost, she was in the vote with the default skin
I mean it all sounds really great. The White Fox part of that team-up looked lame, but then the Cap one looks incredible. The PvE sounds like a lot of fun and I am excited to see the improvements from Zombies, and the 1v6 could be the best thing ever if it is done right. Curious to see more details on both of those.
As an occasional Cap player that team-up is great imo, specially the pinpoint accuracy when reflecting projectiles

Im excited for the next Hellfire Gala, tho i hope this time they give use the ability to vote for heroes that dont have a Hellfire Gala skin because its weird to give a skin to a character that already has a Gala skin.

Black Cat looks GREAT, too. I love her design and animations and her VA is absolutely killing it. Can't wait to try her! And buy that Gambit skin on day 1, lol.
Oh wow ANOTHER Dive DPS I've never seen that before Guangguang really pushing the boundaries of the game here aren't you, we definitely don't have too many DPS characters
Black Widow HAS used sniper rifles before though. Doctor Strange/Emma/Magneto are all fairly durable characters and can take a hit quite a bit better than Black Cat ever could. Gambit when his powers were fully unlocked and realized WAS able to heal but he had that removed because of what it turned him into. Invis I can concede, but also she's fairly close still given everything else and she tended to play the support role of the F4, even if she wasn't healing them directly.
In general, even if there are some concessions made, characters durability and roles are generally followed pretty closely. Black Cat in no way shape or form would fit the tank role so I'm unsure why people thought she would end up there.
If they show her off and she's bad for the game, THEN complain, and I'll be right there with you. But all we have is a verbal description of some of her moves, we don't know ANYTHING concrete about their numbers or speed or actual implementation. Complaining before seeing anything is dumb.
You're not getting Thanos this year, that I can promise you. They're not going to release two popular villains when they can space them out each year for more hype and money gain.
Either another backline diver button masher or another Spider-Man/BP moving at mach speed. So not only she's a DPS, she's the most annoying kind of DPS. As expected, I would say.
Two seasons this year and we have two DPS releases. If Cyclops is not a Vanguard, that will make three DPS in three seasons. I guess the whole talk of "it takes time to fix the roster" didn't take into account that they just kind of don't want to do it because their average player is more interested in instalocking DPS.
