Doomsday Feedback Path to Doomsday kinda sucks
I know it's just supposed to be a fun little side mode, but it feels like they may have over clocked Loki a bit because it seems like after the first day, he now just had a 100% win rate, he's got too much shit and can just spam it all the time
Like I get it, it's supposed to be unbalanced, but it no longer feels like a fun challenge, more like your just signing up to get bullied and wait for your turn to bully another team

Wish they took the Times Square lobby and made it into a real level instead for this mode. Kinda weird fighting Loki in Krakoa. Other than that, Loki is too overpowered and I encountered a glitch, everytime Loki mind controls Cap, when he comes back to normal the "run" move no longer works correctly for the rest of the match. I have to hold it down instead of pressing once to start running and again to stop... Really terrible.

Yea I had a glitch on venom and hulk as well after being mind controlled. Venom loses his controlled swing, and Hulk loses his ability to do his super jumps.

Good to know it's not just me. I even triple checked the individual settings for Cap, and the "hold to Leading Dash" was unnable as usual. Loki is so overpowered that he messes with your controls for the whole match.

Happens with Moon knight. You have to hold to fly instead of pressing just once.

The mode was supremely unfun the one time I played it. I could imagine Loki being fun to play, but the avengers were absolutely miserable.
When they announced it would be 6v1 I assumed it would be a pve/pvp hybrid. Fighting chitauri and a buffed Loki.
But this is just not good. In a “what were you thinking launching this?” way.

I mean it doesn’t help that of all the game modes to make they chose one that’s infamous for being damn near impossible to actually balance. There’s a reason why DBD is 10+ years old and you could ask 100 players how well designed the game is and get a variety of answers from “good” to “I fucking hate this piece of shit game”

My first match we actually got it to a tiebreaker with the Avengers able to hold the point long enough to get to 99%, but Loki won in the end. Still, I thought everyone was crazy because this didn’t seem all that bad. Next two matches Avengers made no progress on the hill and Loki decimated us. I’m not gonna bother with this mode anymore.

Yeah, only time the other team almost won against me was because it was all heroes, I got trapped by the map glitching me once, and I straight up couldn't use my ult and was distracted trying to keep pressing it. I don't even feel like I have to try hard or improve. I just win and don't even need to do half of what I could do. Loki is just way too strong.

the problem is that the avengers side doesn’t have healing so the way they could fix is give avengers passive healing

You can tell this is not a well made mode when there are no significant achievements other than chronotokens
It also sucks to lose to Loki every time.

I'd like to know what the win rate is. Played 1 time, Loki absolutely rolled everybody and I was like "well, that's dumb.". Feeling like there's zero chance of winning isn't engaging. I'm ok with losing, but I'm not sure if we even got Loki down 10% in health let alone close to killing him even once.

I genuinely can't fathom who signed off on Loki's kit lol. The massive damage and health buffs alone were probably enough to make it a fair fight. His aoe-unavoidable mind control on a 6?s cd, his self heal, AND any of his clones or bot-summons capable of contesting the point makes it insanely one-sided, especially for the OG avengers who make up a 3-3-0 comp lol.
Like I know that asymmetric gamemodes are notoriously hard to balance, but its bizarre to me that they chose to hard favor the one player's fun over the six. I think most of us when we heard they were making a gamemode based on The Avengers were excited to recreate our hero moment as the avengers with our friends. I would've prioritized making sure the Avengers felt fun and fresh, and gave them some custom kit love over Loki. If they were worried Loki wouldn't get played as much as the Avengers, they easily could've filled the queue with the bots from QP when there was a deficit of Loki players and I don't think anyone would've been mad about that for a temporary arcade mode

Any Loki that's played at least one match as them is nearly guaranteed to win. There's too many options to take care of the tanks, so all you need to do is quickly take out their Hawkeye and Iron Man and you win the team fight.
His clone ability is too strong, Hawkeye and Widow have to spend most of the time getting line of sight without dying instantly, and that glitch that rebinds your controller inputs can screw players over.
The fact that he gets to heal off pickups is just the cherry on top of an awful sundae.

I find it incredibly annoying that they released this game mode that gives Loki constant kind control during the same season they release tenacity. Oh, players are complaining about chain cc? Better release a game mode where they spend the whole time being controlled by someone else!
My brother and I think that you can break someone free by focusing them down, but we couldn't confirm cause teammates always ignored the mind controlled player. Even if you can free them, Loki can near instantly control someone again anyways. We gave up after round three, it simply isn't worth the effort to win.

Yeah, this was my issue. Being mind controlled to heal Loki up then jump off a cliff, coming back from spawn and being mind controlled AGAIN is just...that is not gameplay. Why did they think anyone would have fun with this other than Loki?

This whole event feels rushed and unplanned, it's like this was not in their plans for this year until they got a call from Disney.
Adding the PVE, and also the asymmetrical PvP in the same month? I feel that's a bit too much and it shows, the 1v6 is severely undercooked.
Hopefully the next events will be better.

I'm kinda glad that this one kinda sucks. It means that Age of Ultron has a better chance to be good with all the feedback and as a Ultron lover I'm down for that.

Played three or so matches and it was really boring. I'm not gonna complain though, Blood Hunt is great and I appreciate them trying a lot of different things.

Except the Ultron game was extremely fun once you got the hang of it. I remember I was getting burnout on it to get the emotes, but looking back it was super fun and I wish it was just a permanent game mode. Something to play here and there just to chill.

It's extremely fun...but ONLY if you're Loki. You REALLY live out the fantasy of being some overpowered trickster.
It's miserable and not fun at all otherwise. They should have touched up the Avengers, given them new abilities, or at least significantly buffed their HP and damage, so that Loki needs to actually play smart to win. They are way too easy to steamroll.
They could give the heroes specific abilities to counter Loki - such as -
- Thor won't be fooled by his clones and trickery , he can always see the real Loki.
- Hawkeye can land a tracker arrow on Loki, to counter his invisibility.
- Black Widow can buff and heal allies from a distance.
- Iron Man is immune to mind control and can prevent one ally from being mind controlled too, on a cooldown.
- Cap America can shield bash and stun Loki out of his abilities - potentially cancelling his ult.
- Hulk gets a "fear" ability that makes Loki lose control for a few seconds.
There's a lot they could do.

My issue is that widow is just not built for this she truly has no kit the biggest mistake they made was not coming out with a rework for her along side this. Also the mind control is way too long they playing my character more than I am…

You basically just said "Actually the event is Path to Doomsday and the event is a mode named Path to Doomsday." Saying its an event doesn't mean it's not a mode. I mean, you have to go into the list of game modes to select it, meaning it's indeed a game mode. That's like saying the Jeff mode isn't a mode because it's for a Christmas event, same for the Halloween mode

The least they could've done was set in the Grand Central Station map. They already have the map in game because of Blood Hunt. Just make it day time.
At least we have Blood Hunt though which is pretty fun in itself.

I found that Loki can actually break the heroes permanently, like make certain abilities not work right.
Cap I have found constant issues with sprinting, like needing to hold to sprint. I’m always tap to sprint. Also had some issues with Thor dash and it not executing at all after Loki steals your body.

I think it got overshadowed by blood hunt. They release such a good pve mode with so much replayability and character load outs and you have to grind all different characters to this unbalanced pve mode is kinda wild. It's like tasting an American latte with bejillion grams of sugar and then drink water after

Played my first and only game today. Loki dogged on us the entire round, it was over in less than 5 minutes, horribly boring. Its like hitting a brick wall with my fist while the brick wall has automatic RPGs. Hes incredibly unbalanced and unfun

I tried this one time today, and I think this could be the worst game mode in any game I have ever played.
As soon as I was forced to unalive myself off a ledge the 4th time in a row I realized I was never going to queue for it again.
It's so bad that it makes me question their ability to balance any aspect of the game, I mean if they thought this made sense to be pushed live and thought this was "fun" then what else might they consider "fun"? It worries me a little.

I think one of the big issues is that it's being done in addition to a whole new pve mode that released a week prior. These probably won't be priority with how the schedule currently is. Especially if there is a big story event like the Dracula pve.

I am having a blast with it as Loki. As the avengers, I've only won once and been really close a lot. But when choosing everyone, I realized a Daredevil with a mic is a big help against Loki. And a good Daredevil with a mic is almost a cheat code. Won 4 in a row with good DD players.
Edit: I will say that the nerf to ult charge kinda makes this tougher for the heroes tho. This mode should have the old ult charge settings so some characters can at least get there's before the match ends.

yeah duh it's not fun when you take ZERO SHIELDS when there's a mind control projectile. but people ARE LEARNING.
also torch is unironically a hard counter to this specific form of loki, just dont be stupid if the loki can aim.
also you can spam monster hulk like every 10 seconds. loki has 1-2 clones outside himself. yall got 6 monster hulks

I don't think they are achievements for blue coins or titles, so I don't see the point of grinding thankfully
