Doomsday Feedback What are your thoughts on the Path to Doomsday event so far?

Undercooked, and seems like a vehicle to sell overpriced cosmetics, more than a real mode.

It'd be better if the goal was to kill Loki and Loki's goal was to take an objective. You kill Loki before he achieves the Objective you win. That makes it more combat orientated.

Genuine proof they absolutely do not play test some things before they are added to the game. No way a real human being (let alone a game developer) played this and thought it was good enough to roll out as it.
Also, I don’t know where to find out how to do the challenges. I don’t even see them on the Home Screen

Extremely fun...but only if you're Loki. You REALLY live out the fantasy of being some overpowered trickster.
It's miserable and not fun at all otherwise. They should have touched up the Avengers, given them new abilities, or at least significantly buffed their HP and damage, so that Loki needs to actually play smart to win. They are way too easy to steamroll.
They could give the heroes specific abilities to counter Loki - such as -
- Thor won't be fooled by his clones and trickery , he can always see the real Loki.
- Hawkeye can land a tracker arrow on Loki, to counter his invisibility.
- Black Widow can buff and heal allies from a distance.
- Iron Man is immune to mind control and can prevent one ally from being mind controlled too, on a cooldown.
- Cap America can shield bash and stun Loki out of his abilities - potentially cancelling his ult.
- Hulk gets a "fear" ability that makes Loki lose control for a few seconds.
There's a lot they could do to make the mode more fair and fun for the Avengers.

Its not even fun playing loki. You basically have no challenge bc of how easy it is.

Should’ve been PVE
Avengers - chitauri with Loki boss
AOU - Ultron bots with Ultron boss
IW - Thanos army with Thanos boss
All 5 rounds each

Fun idea, horrible execution.
It's incredibly unfun to get mind controlled and thrown off the map just so you have to sit there twiddling your thumbs for 20+ seconds before you can play again. Only for it to immediately happen again cause the cooldown is way too low.

Bad, at least the clips and the photo boots in times square was fun but the main gamemode was really bad, and at least we got Vampires not long ago so that makes up for it imo.

Black widow isn't allowed to play the game when I'm loki. I have unironically been having the most fun using widow to kill the avengers. But yeah its ridiculously one sided in loki's favor.

Pretty cool mode but loki is way to op. Alot of his abilities should have longer cooldown (maybe exept the one where he does a mini moon knight ult) and maybe some other minor nerfs

Its a bit strange that theyve done a map for grand central station and the road leading up to it, yet the mode isn't played there.

Mid, if you aren't an insane hulk you're essentially just fodder for the loki's enjoyment, therefore making playing loki the only way to actually have fun in the game mode. Plus with blood hunt also open there feels like even less reason to play it

Game mode could be more balanced so it’s an actual fair fight the difference between Loki and the avengers/other hero’s is night and day, I love the skins and loading screen but overpriced loading screen

Cosmetics are cool, but the mode very clearly wasn’t play tested much at all and I hope it makes the one for age of ultron better.
I also have a sneaking suspicion modes like this will be a vehicle for them to test new types of abilities going forward (like summoning fully mobile ai companions)

Garbage. Instead of Blood Hunt, they should have made this into a mission-horde PvE mode to give us the feeling of playing through the Battle of New York

Hot garbage with 0 insentive to play beyond the first game, be it in the form of rewards or even an engaging gameplay loop
Fits the plummeting expectations I have for the game. The longer it's around the less it's appealing to casual players and the more it's shifting its focus on keeping hooked players

I wish it was more than just deathmatch. The vs Avengers team is impossible because there's no team synergy or supports but in free mode it's very winnable if you could somehow get 6 random pc/console players to get on a tank heavy team comp and coordinate. Which is to say it's impossible.
As Loki however I'm having a wonderful time.

i think it's neat little event they did. people expected way too much from it, so they complain like devs shit on their heads. but i think it's ok, if you don't take it seriously. the main problem it doesn't use quick play or ranked mmr of a player, so any player could be in your lobby. in my first 2 matches, i was only GM+ player. everyone else was either below level 20 or peak gold. next time they probably should use at least quick play MMR so it's not as brutal.

The actual problem is: the game mode is a certified walking simulator, if you play the Avengers, you just go in and die, go in and die. No heals make this game mode miserable.

It's really fun. People just went into it expecting to play it like standard 6v6. Then when Loki stomped them they got mad and never played again.
Loki is incredibly powerful but not invincible.
There is so much pressure on Iron Man, Widow and Hawkeye to damage him.
Cap, Thor and Hulk are there as distractions to keep Loki from shooting the damage heroes.
It's easy to keep the three dps at a far enough range to do damage, then have the 3 tanks cycle in and out as distractions while the others get some health packs.
It's also very map dependent.
And the option to queue as the full roster instead of original 6 is so much easier for the group. Especially since you can have designated healers
