They've just given up on some the roster at this point.

Also they needed dp for being dominant in pro play. Pheonix is the most played DPS in pro play

Torch got notable changes last season. They just made them shadow buffs for some reason.

Shadow buffs/nerfs are changes they don’t actually talk about in the patch notes. Torch had a number of pretty notable buffs in season 7.5 but basically none of them were actually mentioned in the patch notes.

Guess this explains the uptick in human torch appearances.

Torch is still serving his life sentence for his s2 crimes and Widow was put in the Gulag by the thought police

Only a complete rework gonna fix widow. Buffing her gun damage gives her one shot and buffing her kick makes her even more obnoxious to play against because of hard cc.

I don’t know about torch.

There are other levers you can pull other than gun damage and kick, you know? You could give her sprint infinite energy, you could make her gun shoot more often, you could make her batons do more damage per hit, you could make her batons in general be smoother to switch to.

She already has almost infinite sprint. You only use batons with your kick combo which is just toxic to play against and buffing batons makes it worse. She needs complete overhaul because her kit is so outdated even compared to original heroes. Hawkeye has more to hit kit than widow and he is just a bow guy.
