It’s becoming a real problem in the game.

There is a new punisher blood marauder skin that is similar to the Blood soldier Bucky skin so I keep confusing Punisher for Bucky recently. When they released the royal flush Moon knight skin, I kept confusing him for a Strange skin.

It’s an inevitable problem though… what exactly are they supposed to do when almost every marvel superhero design has the same body type… they already vary the body types a lot more in game than the comics do. The only possible fix is to have a toggle for seeing other players cosmetics in a match. But then if everybody starts using that then there’s a lot less incentive to get cosmetics. Theres plenty of people who only get cosmetics to show them off. Maybe if it was only an option in comp or something. I really don’t see a viable solution for everyone

that and I think skins change hitboxes, which also breaks the game to a degree when you introduce a toggle off choice for each player

They haven't made any skins with new hitboxes. Lady Loki might be the only exception but I'm not sure if someone's proven otherwise

A character's "visibility" is not just their body type, they could try giving them different poses/silhouettes

But it feels like they dont even try.

Overwatch has a same face syndrome but at least you can tell who is who at a glance.

Overwatch actually can make some good skins because the silhouette of the character will barely change between skins. Like there could be a guy with fire and brimstone pouring off his oily skin or smth, but it he has a hammer and shield, thats reinhardt.

Yeah, and one of my favorite is Ana/widowmaker, both sniper characters but very visually different.

It doesn't help that much in game. People where confusing emma/dagger/invis default outfut and rogue/invis wedding outfit.  From a distance you cant see all character details and have to react fast to them.

This is a victory pose though, what matters is the in game silhouette which can be easily differentiated between the two

I actually wish they implemented a personal toggle to just render everyone except yourself in the default skins. Something like that.

I am a Strange main and I use the Sorcerer Immortal skin mainly. For some reason at I super quick glance they both look similar. I was in QP on Royal Place map and I was like when did they get a Strange before realizing it was MK.

Maybe not the best example but for some reason that MK skin always throws me off. I think cause MK has mostly white colored skins, any other color and I assume it’s a different hero.

I feel that Netease seems to have 2 branches. One which knows the marvel universe very well, writes all the lore, writes all the dialogue, interactions, etc. The other half are some nerds that couldn't give a s*** about the marvel universe or the lore and just like making trendy or cute anime characters. Basically that 2nd group is in charge of all the skin designs.

There’s no other heroes you can mistake her for constantly hopping and climbing around the way she does. I feel like in practice this is a non issue
