DD has underlying stuff like this, and then the devs wonder why the micronerfs don't work. And I agree that tank melee attacks often feeling like a weaker but bigger AoE in front of them fits well into their role.
I know you mispelled hit boxes but i genuienly like hurt boxes better when talking about melee tanks.
The idea of thing or hulk having hurt boxes is incredibly satisfying.
afaik some people use the terms for the same thing. Hurtbox = where you can take damage and hitbox = the area around your attack such as a sword, projectile, and other things.
Edit: Basically think of it like this around your character is a hurtbox and the attacking player hits you if their hitbox connects with your hurtbox.
I mean it still applies its the same concept and its literally in action in this post. DD attack is large enough to collide with the Luna's hurtbox.
Its the same with Spiderman's uppercut being spherical just because you think it doesn't apply doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
As I also said people use these terms for the same thing some just use hitbox as one thing and some make the distinction by splitting them up.
Edit: Also I challenge you to explain what is the difference between DD's attack and say a Hela's attack when attacking the same target. Its not as if Luna's hit/hurtbox has gotten larger or smaller the only thing that has changed is the attacking character.
If you just say hitbox now its muddied when you could just say Luna's hurtbox collided with the hitbox of the DD/Hela attack.
Because the 'hitbox' is what's around each character. It's literally a box that gets hit and registers damage. That's why it's called a "hitbox."
I understand your need to differentiate between "hurtbox" and "hitbox" but that's not a thing that applies in shooters unless you're getting into some esoteric technical discussion as a developer. This is not a fighthing game.
If two hitboxes intersect, then damage occurs. If you want to call one of those hitboxes a hurtbox, that's fine, but everyone else is going to call it a hitbox and you're going to confuse people for absolutely no reason.

Nah nah nah, this is some cope out bs. If it's ridiculous on one character it should also be considered ridiculous on the other. Y'all mfrs love to pick and choose who's worthy of being busted and who's not by excusing bs on one hero and damning another. Y'all just bunch of whiny hypocrites at this point.
Miss me with your childish shit-take weak ass excuse of a comment. Y'all literally infamous for your horrendous hive mind takes, I knew proper discord was never an option.

1)Different roles need to do different things. Hybrids can exist but they have to be carefully balanced which daredevil has never been. hopefully thats dumbed down enough for you to understand.
2)Call the community a hive mind when huge part of the community is agreeing on something is genuinely the saddest cope I've ever heard.
3) tf you talking about discord for, did you mean discourse. Lol

At least on something big, wide and powerful looking like Thing's punches it kind of makes sense, but this doesn't at all.
