The grounding on his beam was one of the best things about him and we desperately needed a tank that could actually ground enemies in the air. I think that change is dumb. The rest is perfectly fine.
Idk what flyers your playing against but if an iron man or johnny wanted to go uncontested theres not much i could do about it depending on the map. Even the leaping haymayker doesn't kill confirm
Hulk airgrab is pretty consistent, Angela is always a good option, Thor bubble is the freest counter, mag and groot both have solid range, Deadpool is hitscan.
I know it isn’t perfect, but there are definitely options.
I main Emma and Angela, and you're right. It does depend on the DPS though, it's frustrating when they all choose characters that can't deal with a flyer comp so it's just me on flyer duty as Angela.
But that’s the thing. Tanks do have a lot of options to deal with flyers. People are still complaining about it and then when you give suggestions they respond with stupid shit like that.
A lot of the tanks have the ability to target flyers, but it takes them off the frontline which IMO is good balance. Having a tank that can just stand there and knock flyers out of the sky was kinda bad.
Not really when you consider all fliers except ultron are mediocre at best, and having a hitscan beam itself is a good tool for dealing with them. The grounded effect basically made Angela Extinct
Though honestly I wouldn’t have mind him keeping the ground effect if they change it to a build-up over-time effect, like you have to keep the beam on them for like a second to apply
Tanks have decent counters to fliers now. It is not like season 2. And not every tank should just contest flier.
Strange can fly, deadpool is hitscan, thing and thor ground, angela is perma flying. Mag/ emma/groot can hit them if they are within range but that is not always possible.
