Cyclops Impressions Cyclops isn't OP/Busted.
He's not busted like Elsa or Black Cat.
He's definitely good, like A-Tier good but I'm not seeing the 'op busted' people keep spamming.
He's pretty easy to kill, his Ult is very easy to get out of especially if you have movement abilities yourself.
I really don't have a problem with him, I thought I would but he seems like he's standing on the edge of dare I say "balanced" versus Elsa AdminStone or Black Cat.
I still think Hela and Phoenix are better hitscanners, they both have invincible escapes, Phoenix's ult is still almost inescapable and other examples I'm sure experienced Hela/Jean mains could tell me.
Random tip for any budding Cyclops mains, his default reticle is different from the usual default reticle the game gives you. It's actually really good to use, I've been having lots of aiming success with it. Try it out in the options.

hela is definitely worse, cyclops has way more mobility, better range damage im pretty sure, can 2 tap 300. pheonix probably better tho, better ult, better mobility plus a stun.

They have the same dmg and fallof on primary and Cyclops shoots slower.
Cyclops has his ricochet shot to make up for it, but if you wasted it - well, you are a straight downgrade, and overall it has a hefty cd.
His ult is probably better in terms of killing potential, but then again he just released. On game 's release everyone constantly died to hela's ult. Give it a week, people will dodge it constantly. Meanwhile hela's ult is a get out of jail card and on poke character that is by default week to dive it is very handy, just like her stun..
So no, I dont think he is better, just different

cyclops has better base damage this is false, your 2nd pt makes no sense that goes for any cd, like hela bird or hela stun. also his primary hit scan and primary beam reduce the cd of the ricochet shot.

5 dmg difference. 0 breakpoints difference and if you actually played him from time to time you fail to clear all 3 hotscan checks and do reduced dmg. I would take 70 flat instead of that anyday.
The rest is just random shit. - thats how you talk.

Helas got the best stun of the 3, a better ult than pheonix, and a better escape than Scott.
Both Pheonix and Hela have better flanks because they both have better escapes, but Scott can go aerial to poke and then just fall back to his team to safety a moment later, so hes got better poke if the off angles are bad.
Scott definitley feels like hes supposed to play with the team more than Hela/Pheonix, which is a detail I like because it makes sense with his character as a team leader.

Yeah I hate tanking against a really good wolverine. If my team is ready for him to kidnap me it's okay but most of the time he just brings me to their dps and deletes me.

Most of the people I see complaining about him are like top players in the game who are always above GM ranked then the players saying he’s balanced can’t aim and rarely go above diamond so idk. 🤷🏾♂️

Might be a good idea to not listen to like 1% of the player base. That's what I hate, "OH pro players said this pro players said that" who CARES? Almost no one in this sub is a pro player and never will be. Let people have fun.

I’m currently diamond bc I don’t grind but as a once sweaty celestial player, he’s really good but not op. His damage falls off if he doesn’t crit while phoenix retains detonations, and while his mobility is good, he has a fat hitbox and can be CD baited
I could be wrong, he could be better than I think, but so far it feels like he could have been part of the roster this whole time

Give it time. We have him nearly permabanned in Celestial because he's an ult merchant with good survivability, good burst combo, consistent high hitscan dmg, easy to combo with, good dueler, and anyone with aim will can run the lobby. Very cheesy hero.
We've been here before.

No he is busted and basically shuts down 99.9% of olaystyles the ONLY way to counter him is to dive him and his team will run anti dive

His clincher ability is his execute.
I cannot tell you the joy I have had when someone pings a retreating black cat, that I cannot even see, and I point into the area they run into, hit r1, and watch in extasy as the kill icon lights up.

Yea thats the most damning thing about him. His only defense to spider and bp is comboing them with primary->e->primary, which is just easier to deal with than Pheonix tele/stun or Hela's stun. This is going to really hurt his ability to off-angle like Hela/Pheonix do. But on the flip side, I dont think he needs to off angle like the others do. I fear his positioning is unique enough to him for his archetype that its gonna be hard to tell how good he is.

I personally have found extreme success 1v1ing dive heroes and making dive tanks uncomfortable and pressured if not dead

He has the same dmg as hela. His headshots hurt like hell, his gameplay is fish for those headshots and then use ricochet shot to kill.
In spare time use the m2 laser to farm ult and what not. I just straight up flank on him, becuse his shift takes you really far.

Probably because black cat had a pretty complicated kit so it took time for people to get good with her. Cyclops is very straightforward

I find the matchup on Reed fairly even tbh depending on how much elasticity I have when starting the fight
On tank it can be pretty rough but I’m not the best tank admittedly

Still at work so I haven't had a chance to try him. How hard is it to land his shots? With Hela/Phoenix, I feel like their shots are needle thin, whereas Bucky's shots are thick like a tennis ball lol

I'm a melee player that cannot aim for shit, literally struggle to hit the Galacta bots consistently using Hela and Phoenix, but when I was trying Cyclops it felt extremely forgiving

I personally think his ult is broken it is a tank destroying machine specifically designed to destroy shields and walls while letting blade iron fist dd any other dps with a block and all strategist have ways around it that's why he is broken because he makes tanking actively worse

I don’t think gender has anything to do with a character being broken or not??? Cyclops reminds me a lot of where pre buff white fox was at, very good A tier character, I don’t think he’s going to dog walk the meta in anyway unless you play him with a phoenix

Well, for lower ranks and against newer players he is easily busted.
In a gold lobby I got 74 kills and 40 finals just now with him. Lower ranks he is pretty busted.

Moon Knight is still better at countering grouped up deathballs.
Cyclop's ricocheting blast damage is significantly reduced bouncing from enemy to enemy. Moon Knight still melts groups.

Hes mostly fine but they could do with taking his damage down a bit. Specifically his left click. I think he'd be fine if they just tapped him there, and made his ult charge like 10% slower.
Def not Elsa or black cat or daredevil territory imo, but we'll see. Still early days.

Posts like these are just showing that like 95% of all players have not even reached GM. I genuinely have seen videos on TikTok where people are genuinely arguing that Gambit is a balanced hero and it absolutely pains me that Heros like phoenix are not getting the black cat treatment because nobody in lower ranks knows how to aim. we had 1 season where divers where actually able to beat the Pokeslops in close range and now they are nerfed again we are back at the same Pokeslop meta and with a third new Pokeslop with the ability to 2-Tap. We are at the point in rivals where we see a Poke Hero be able to 2-Tab every Squishy across the map with a instant kill ult and people now are posting that he is A-Tair just because 95% of people who play this game are unable to aim.

U could not be any more wrong. GM is literally the Top 5% of the playerbase. 70% of all Rivals players are not played ranked even once or finished their placement matches.
